Nestled amidst the lush greenery of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, the Tungareshwar Temple offers a unique blend of spiritual solace and natural beauty. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this ancient temple has been a revered pilgrimage site for centuries, attracting devotees and nature enthusiasts alike.
The journey to the temple itself is an adventure. A scenic 3-4 kilometer trek through the forest, with streams to cross and diverse flora and fauna to admire, sets the stage for the tranquility that awaits. The path can be challenging, especially during monsoons, so be sure to wear proper shoes and clothing.
Beyond the temple lies a natural pool known as Ram Kund, fed by a cascading waterfall. This spot is ideal for a refreshing dip, especially during the hot summer months. The surrounding forest teems with various bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.

Beautiful Shiv Temple. They put a dome on shivling post puja, similar to Omkareshwar. The way to this temple goes through an industrial area and then forest. The way in forest isn't properly built, it's difficult to go in two wheeler. There is water body also on the way. We went late at night so we thought to go by two wheeler but probably it is easier to go by foot. It's just 3kms.

Lots of Positive things to enjoy here. I will highlight only few.

1. A beautiful nature with Waterfalls, specially if you visit in the rainy season like me 😉.
2. Most of the Hindu temples, Pandit and security do the hurry in darshan after a long queue. But here you can touch Bhole baba and give your few seconds with baba. This will be an amazing exp if you went for specially darshan after a long Trek.

If you are with groups then that will be unforgettable memories with this place.

If you are a luckey person then you get the chance for bhandara food which will be superb testy food. You must try, (bhandara will be on some occasional day only I don't know when but I was part of that day)

Bham Bam bhole.

One of the most important places to visit in vasai.
Where a lot of history happened as per the data available.
Here, you will find a small mountain on which lord Shiva mandir is there.
You can easily walk and come on top of the mountain ⛰ in 30 to 40 min.
Else, you can take a cab and get on top.
Here you will find a lot of positive vibes and lots and lots of energy.
One of the most highly recommended places

From base village to temple, the road is very poor. It's almost 2.5 kms with some inclined terrain. No sign of road construction seen. This temple is located in forest land.
Temple is good and surrounded by natural scenery.
Low-Medium level of hygiene.
You will find monkeys in the temple premises.
Very good vibe inside the main temple of Lord Shiva.

The place is nice, there are green trees everywhere. It is a Shiva temple. It is quiet and relaxing. It can be easily reached on foot or by two-wheeler. Vehicles go to the temple. One has to cross the road through water. The month of Shravan is very crowded. Small waterfalls can be seen during rainy season. There are many monkeys in the temple premises.

Amazing place to explore, the temple is in 1:30 hours walking distance from below but the beautiful scenery we get while trekking is awesome, there many small ponds in between and lake too. Also they have there are many stress foods available to try in between. The greenery lives over there and all the beautiful scenarios specially from the lake view and all of the above that special waterfall we get to see after temple. The most amazing is the vibes you get while trekking along with all other devotes and prayers. Best time to visit in monsoon from July to August to have best experience.

If you want to spend some time with nature, away from the chaos of the city, this is the perfect place to be. Tungareshwar is the temple of Lord Shiva. One of the best experiences for spending time with nature. But it is recommended that you take a Qualis Taxi at the entrance to go to the temple as there is no road. Taxi drivers are local and they very well know how to drive in that condition. You can go with your car or bike but huge stones on the path can be troublesome. Taxis charge 50 to 100 Rs per head. The best time to visit here is monsoon or winter. As the area is covered with jungle the temperature can be felt very high in summer so I would not recommend it in summer.

Tungareshwar Mahadev Mandir, Vasai.

1.There are two ways to reach here, If you are coming by your car/Bike, exact opposite toe Sativali naka, you can see a board of Tungareshwar dham.
If you are coming by public transport, catch a bus or Auto from Vasai East (nearby Station) to reach the base.
2. I would recommend Agar bhagwan ko paana hai to chalke jana otherwise, a sharing taxi and Auto will cost you Rs. 50/- per person and it will drop you at top. totale lenght of the trek is 3.5 kms.
Agar aap zindagi main Kedarnath jane ka sapna rakhte ho, to ek baar yaha aao aur trek karte uper jao..
3. Main rule for entering Temple. shorts, Half Pant, Half Sleeves, One Piece or any other dress in which you are exposing your body is not allowed. You should be in proper indian Attire.
4. You can see many temples here but the main attraction is the Tungareshwar Mahadev Mandir. Apart from this, you can enjoy the view of starting point of Waterfall and some other temples.
5. While descending, come by walk and take a look of beautiful nature and enjoy the vibe. You can seat nearby the Waterfall and get pleased.

Irony is Google is asking me to review this Place, Obviously, it is one of my favorite destination when rain hits.

I hope this review will help you to visit Tungareshwar mandir at least once in your lifetime...! Har Har Mahadev...

This place is amidst the nature. Either you can hike or you can ride your bike or drive your car till the main entrance. There’s a parking space for both. The road condition is idle for a proper hike and not for vehicles. There’re a couple of snacks centre and toilets are available.

Best time to visit is during rainy season to enjoy the view. You’ll find a lot of monkeys.
