Rooms are at the bank of Ganga,you can go and can have a holy dip as GHAT is there with security chains and pipe,but stream is very strong
It's a GMVN hotel ,thus rooms maintenance is poor .
Restaurant has good homely food ,with economical rates

Through ghat only you can walk to har ki Pauri which must be 2.5 km

Best hotel that I have visited, very nice views both frontside and backside. Very good hotel location if we stay here because at backside of the hotel we can straightly to river's Gangga banks, we are able to enjoy the alpha sound of rivers Gangga flows so make our quite meditation to be calmed. Near to go to Gangga Aatri only by foot also near to white Siva's statue or Durga Temple... Still stay nice in my memory.

Staff is v.polite,helpful.Restaurant food is reasonable and as hygienic and tasty as home food..Rooms are neat and clean.
Private Ganga ghat is awesome,well managed with chains and changing room. Lawn attracts with beautiful greenery and Lord Shiva Temple.Highly recommend for the families.

A beautiful place for everything. Family friends and children, all are welcome. The flowing river just few meters away will take your breath away. The scene is mesmerizing and you shall be lost into a different world. The food is good, the staff is friendly. However the entire property is not handicap friendly.
You simply can walk down to har ki paudi. Recommended place for everyone.

Place is very good but food is little expensive and quantity is not appropriate to the price. There is no point having a glass of milk at 90 Rupees.

Like this place. The main thing this hotel has its privates ghats, so no need to rush into croud. Ghats are simply in front our room. View is really very beautiful, seeing a majestic river Ganges from our balcony. Harkipaudi is very close at jst a walking distance from private ghats. Must try this place when in Haridwar. Ample parking space.

The view of Holy Ganga from the balcony of Hotel Alaknanda is just awesome. The food offered here is too delicious and during off season , you can get these hotel rooms at reasonable price otherwise they charge way too much. Service is good. There's a room heater , air conditioner , television , 4 seat sofa , a double bed , wardrobe , Geyser in bathroom and in my opinion you'll be satisfied visiting this hotel.

If u r going to Dehradun so this hotel is the best hotel. As the property is new (3-4 yrs old), you can feel the cleanliness, new furniture etc. etc. everything was good, supporting staff. …

A beautiful place to stay near Ganga river. Not very costly.

My visit to Alaknanda Hotel , now with Utter khand State . One should book a room facing Ganga online in advance . Restaurant food is good . The Steps and Ghat is clean . Jaya Maa Ganga .

Excellent property, great location, right on the banks of holy Ganga flowing serenely, with private ghat. You can view the flowing waters of Ganga from the rooms. Have a nice cosy dinner in the lovely lawn on the banks, holy dip any time, or endless fun in the pristine water.

One of the Oldest Hotel of Uttarakahnd Haridwar earlier operated by Up govt but rcently transfered to Uk Govt have a great ghat and walking place on the bank or ganga nice view and great parking and service satff and on the NH.
