Heritage Society wants Monuments restored but it is bad shaped..

Now that Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Authority (KDMC) is nearing development and beautification of Kala Talao in Kalyan West, Heritage Society of Kalyan wants KDMC to also beautify two heritage monuments are Kali Masjid and Maqbara built in 15th century during the Mughal period.
"Kalyan is a historical city with many Heritage monuments that are totally neglected by the KDMC; surprisingly KDMC has neither any special department nor any funds for maintenance of these monuments, because of this many heritage monuments have been demolished to make way for residential complexes. If KDMC keeps this attitude towards such a precious monuments, Kalyan will soon be wiped out from the Heritage map," rues Dr Srinivas Sathe, Member Heritage Society of Kalyan.
KALI MASJID is on the south west corner of the Kala Talao, it is also known as Jama Masjid which was built in AD 1643(Hijri 1054) by one Subhedar of Yusuf Adil Shah of Bijapur known as Sayyad at his own expenses. This Mosque is constructed with Black Rocks with three arches in the front and two inside the mosque, the arches and the dome are built in good architectural design.
Kala Talav...other end is MAQBARA is on the cast side of the lake is a Tomb of Matabar Khan, a governor of Aurangzeb with the inscription 'Center Heaven' which bears the date 1108 Hijri (AD 1694). It is said that the monument cost about a lakh rupees. There is a small mosque near the Maqbara(tomb). Matabar Khan was the Minister of Shah Jahan(1628 to 1658).

Well i never went inside, but this masjid has a great history background. The masjid was built during Adilshah's rule. 5 star for Historical Importance and God's place

One of few historical places left in kalyan, it was built during the reign of mughal emperor aurangjeb... It is built using black stones that's why it is known as shahi kali masjid. Beside this masjid is kala talav.

Superb Masjid, very old masjid in this area, full of all facilities, RCC covered area is less but space is good, wazu khana and a small pond is there with beautiful fishes
