Very nice trail for trek. Easy level! Caves are breathtaking. Also, please carry a bottle of water and some biscuits or electrolytes for making you feel energetic while climbing uphill.

It’s indeed on of the off-beat trekking/cave exploration spots near Namma Bengaluru!
You’ll be having a short hike initially which is known on an easy level and they you will be exploring 2 caves which are on a moderate level of difficulty. People who are claustrophobic please don’t try this trek. Guide and tickets are mandatory. Tickets can be purchased online and offline.

Really nice place to visit for a one-day trekking experience. You have to pay digitally to enter the trekking area and the guide also on the top expects a small tip. Over all this place was worth visiting. the exploration of caves was really tough and a good experience must visit place if you like trekking just make sure you reach as early as possible and do not carry food items in hands as there are a lot of monkeys and they might snatch. this place gets crowded on the weekends therfore possibly go on a week day Another good thing about this place is that very neat and clean as well thankfully you don't witness a lot of littering from the people visiting here. Hope it stays the same

It was a great adventure. Before trekking we need to book tickets online from Karnataka eco tourism site. And we can start the trekking with the help of a guide who will be instructing from the starting point and then after 2km of trekking there is another local guides who will take us to caves. There are 2 caves one is water cave and the normal cave. It is an amazing experience. Just carry a torch for better visibility. Coz the water cave is very dark and we have to almost crawl after we enter the cave. And also I came to know that during rainy season trekking or cave entry is not permitted. And at the top there is village which we can go or skip.

It's called Southern Kashi, very old temple, with beautiful Kalyani beside it.
Place is very calm, surrounded by forest on both the sides...
Be aware of monkeys, a large number of monkeys are present, and they don't leave any of the baggage to reach the temple nor anything back to your place...they ensure everything is scanned.
Under the govt control now, not maintained well enough.
Stairs are available to reach the temple...easy to walk.

Excellent place for trekking. This is my 2nd time trekking experience, previously done trekking at Veliangiri Hills. But this one's different, the caves here will be adventurous for trekking. Kindly take enough water for yourself!

Trek is very easy . Anyone can do it. The only thing is climbing to that caves. To go inside the caves you need to be fit. And you can’t go without any guide because you may get lost. Sometimes the guide would be lazy and ask you to go alone but please don’t go without guide . You will definitely get lost or you may not see the caves . Those two caves are the best thing in that trek.

parking facility is available . And you need to book before you go there. The booking will be close for that day at 9AM so you need to book before online through karnataka eco tourism page. For weekday the amount is 250 and for weekend 500. Don’t get cheated by any commercialised trek companies from Bangalore and on your own to save money 😌

The trek is quite easy and short. But the cave exploration is something to look out for. Caves are the unique thing about this trek.

The views from the top during the sunrise is quite good and you can easily do this during the dark to reach the top for sunrise time.

Guides are available included in the ticket of 400+GST for caves exploration that should not be missed.

Visited this place on 5th August 2023

This place is pretty chill about the whole “book on eco tourism” thing: you don’t need to have it booked beforehand, you eventually have to only pay for a guide at the top(paid 400 per person in the group).
The trail is relatively easy. However it is pretty long, with the caves that everyone must have heard of, being the highlight.
These caves are pretty narrow and you have to be at least somewhat flexible to navigate the tight corners.
There is enough vegetation on the entire trek that one can take breaks while trekking in the shade

Beautiful place to spend your morning not so far from Bangalore. A small hike to the top of the hill, where you get a good view of Kolar city. In some points, there are very narrow pathways inside caves which some people could find troublesome. A good viewpoint at the top where one could have a picnic setup.

There is an entry ticket, it's better if you book beforehand at Karnataka tourism site.

This lord shiva temple has a lot of history going on where there is continuous water coming out from a rock. The place is peaceful and there are lots of monkeys so be careful with ur stuff.

Nice place to take a break from the city and go for a moderate hike. There are two caves and plenty of rocks to explore. View from the top is amazing. It's part of the Karnataka eco trails. So book you slot either before hand and once u reach there. Guides are present to take you through the trails.

The entry fee of Rs.450 is little higher.. But the trekking is awesome... And the main highlight part is caves... Don't miss the caves.. Without the help of guards it is difficult to find the caves...

And don't miss to climb the rocks on the top of the hills..

Great hiking experience.
6-7 hrs in all starting from blr.
Caves are way too narrow... even crawling inside was not easy 😅.
Overall i will rate it 5 for a hike.

Btw be careful from monkeys there 😜

Nice and cool place. Very old siva temple. Water is coming from underground. Clean and cool. But be careful with monkeys. Dont carry any food items. Not even packed ones. Monkeys will snatch from pockets also.

We were a group of 18 - friends, family with children. The trek was moderate, but the fun part was navigating inside the cave. One bit longer and dry, and another one was shorter, wet and more challenging. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Beware of bold monkeys, ready to snatch your belongings on the way up to the temple.

It's a nice trek with a scenic route and easy to moderate difficulty level. The caves are really nice. You need to take permission from forest officials for this trek which is fairly easy and straightforward. Everything happens online. Around the cave, you will get a guide which is already included in the payment you made online. The caves are quite scenic and if this is your first caves' experience then it can give you goosebumps.

Went there without expectations. But came back with beautiful memories. Since we went during rainy reason, we were able to trek through running water which made our trek an unforgettable one.
You need guides to experience the cave trek. But if you book tickets online, the guide never shows interest in making you explore the full trek. You need to go there directly and negotiate with the guides instead of pre-booking. Then they become happy and show you all the hidden places there.
There are two caves. One is the normal one where all the guides takes u. The other one is a water cave, which u need to insist the guide to show it to u. Water cave was the most thrilling experience we had in this trek. Better to carry torches inside it. Without a guide, it’s not possible to explore water cave.
There are kids aged around 10 or below. If you pay, they too show you all these.
And while returning down, instead of taking the normal route, one needs to go towards the stream and walk alongside to reach the base.
