Tropical Butterfly conservatory

Such a serene place few kilometres away from Srirangam temple. As you head to this place from Srirangam, you will love traveling amidst the farms mostly with mango trees, coconut trees. It is a narrow way lying on the delta formed by Kaveri and Kollidam, with cool and gentle breeze wafting through the way. They charge a nominal entry ticket. You get to know more information about several species of butterflies, it is a best spot for photoshoot too. There is an amphitheatre located within the premises. At the ticket counter they sell a small booklet about the butterflies which provides a lot of info at just Rs.20.

The conservatory’s recreation hub is the park. It has a play area with playground equipment and well-kept lawns with flowerbeds. The Butterfly Park contains a 1.2-kilometer-long boardwalk. The garden is packed with plants that serve as hosts and nectar sources for butterflies.

Beautiful place in the island. At any season you can see a minimum of 20+ varieties of butterflies. Well maintained. Parking, eateries, washroom, kids play zone and entertainment available

Very nice place in Trichy.We can spend one full day with family. Clean and green place like Ooty green park. Provide drinking water and provide dining area. All age people can go. Butterfly’s are not more but we can see more peacocks 🦚 . Maintenance are good tickets also minimum like 10,20.

Very well maintained park in Trichy Srirangam. Great place for kids. It's located on the banks of the river Cauvery. Great place for a picnic in Trichy. The only con is that the approach roads are very narrow and bad as well as there are no good restaurants nearby.

Route to the park can be daunting and narrow, but well worth the effort. Kids will enjoy this place and adults will too

I was surprised that it is so big and maintained extremely well. If it is not too sunny, you can walk amongst the butterfly. Don't make a lot of noise or wear bright colours as the butterflies will fly away. Enjoyed the visit. Good place to take kids.

Butterfly Park is butterfly conservatory located in Srirangam Town in Trichy District of Tamilnadu. The butterfly park is in a serene location between the banks of rivers Cauvery and Kollidam near Srirangam. This Park is considered as one of the biggest butterfly parks in Asia. The park spreads over 35 acres and built at a cost of approximately 8 crores. It is exactly situated near river bank of Cauvery near Melur, Srirangam. There is no public or private transport available after Melur.

The park also includes a 'Nakshatra Vanam', or a collection of trees that corresponds to the zodiac signs and stars in Indian astrology. This park features 27 tree or plant species corresponding to 27 stars of the Hindu almanac and 12 tree or plant species corresponding to the zodiac signs. Visitor can plant a tree at free of cost according to their sign.

Fantastic place for entertainment and learning. Be feel like Forest. ( Well maintained). One negative is Youngsters are simply using and damaging Children's park items with out any fear. Kindly arrange one caution board.

A good place to visit with kids.... Pathways are near and tidy.....
Kids playing area was there .... A local goal car also available but they charge for that.
Basic facilities are there....
Food in the canteen was tasty with reasonable price. ....
Main attraction of the park was 🦚 peacock .. lot of peacocks are there they come near to us also

Apart from a good place for couples also..

Nice big park with good maintenance . Artificial ponds are created but not maintained, there is no water in them.
Children's park is available. A small canteen with fast food , ice cream and beverages,trampoline, train, and road train , Columbus ride are good with normal charges.
Totally a good place to spend three to four hours with kids.

I love natural trees and plants here is very nice.
