Holy place...
It is a mythology that Sita Maiya was born here. Thus it is a very holy place for Hindus. Hindus from different places of the country visit this temple. It is a tirth and at particular occasion Fair may be seen. When I visit, there may be no such occasion, that's why this temple was not maintained, Park was not maintained, The Kund was not cleaned. According to my opinion, this place is very holy, so it must be maintained all the time. Many Sanyasis were also there in its ashram...
Need renovation and also attention of the organizations or the government.

Maa Janaki Janmabhoomi Temple is also known as Punaura Dham in Punaura village of Sitamarhi district of Bihar. It is believed that Mata Sita was born at this place. There is a story related to this that once there was a severe famine in Mithila and the priest there advised King Janak to plow the field. When King Janak was ploughing, an earthen pot came out of the ground, in which Mother Sita was in an infant state

Punaura Dham, considered to be birthplace of Goddess sita is spread over around 10 acres of land in Punaura village, about 5km west of Sitamarhi town. The shrine compound has a Ram Janki temple, a pond called Sita Kund and a hall.
The temple complex is large and well-maintained, with beautiful gardens and fountains. The main temple is stunning, with intricate carvings and beautiful architecture. The atmosphere is peaceful and serene, and it is a wonderful place to spend some time in quiet reflection.
One of the best things about Punaura Dham is the spiritual energy that permeates the complex. The temple is a place of worship, and it is clear that many people come here to pray and seek blessings. The priests are friendly and welcoming, and they are always happy to answer any questions that visitors may have.

Overall, I highly recommend Punaura Dham to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and spiritual experience. The temple is beautiful, the atmosphere is serene, and the energy is truly special. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by and experience it for yourself.
