Ramshehar Fort Resort

Beautiful surroundings and a magnificent fort with a rich history and commendable stories of it's restoration. The staff is courteous and efficient. Have made many memorable trips to this Out of the World Heritage site!

Fort and surrounding are well maintained. The staff specially Manager is very attentive and friendly always with a smile. Condition of property and amenities attract five stars. Simple and tasty food with staff serving the guests is praiseworthy.

Lovely place for a weekend getaway. The fort lies atop a hill and the surrounding views are lovely. It's so quiet and relaxing, you feel the city just melting away from you. The drive is a little hard but worth the effort. Take snacks etc with you though, there's no market nearby.
The food is decent and just a little different from most hotel fare.
The fort itself is 500 years old and it's fun walking through it, it even has a true-to-form, bat-infested tunnel!
All in all, fully recommended.

Such an amazing experience. Excellent place to get away from fast busy lives and relax in midst of enchanting valleys. Historical beauty and heritage has been well preserved. Comfortable stays and good service.

This place is awesome. its a private property now and you have to pay fee to visit it. Rs.350/- per person and Rs.100/- for children. this price includes visiting charges and guide fee. Restaurant is as per actual.
family place. good to explore old history. some part of hotel is converted to hotel. parking is available. totally separate place. Ramshehar main market is about 2 km far. food is very costlier.

We came here for a motorcycle ride on a rainy sunday morning.

Its away from the main road but then again that's what it is meant to be like.

Majority of the way was awesome but the road which eventually reached this fort was in bad shape due to rain and landslides.

We reached the menu and first ordered food as we were told that the food service is very very slow however, the food came on time.

They had a variety of items to be offered for breakfast which was very interesting to see.

The food was good and all of us relished the items. You might think its a fort and the food could be expensive, but it was actually economical. 125

Later on we went for the interior visit of the fort it had a fees but it was worth the money.

I will caption my pictures, and we saw the huge wells of those times along with their jails, haram, garden areas etc.

They have kind of maintained the cave which we entered.

On the last bit of the cave they have made a museum type with pictures of the restoration of the fort which was also interesting.78

The original rooms of the rajas of the time were not well maintained instead they had independent cottages which were impressive as this fort is on top of the hill any side of the fort is a view in itself.

They have a swimming pool and a pool table at the reception and might have a few more things which I could see due to shortage of time.

But definitely worth a visit, you can go with your family.

Spacious Rooms, Delicious Food, very hospitable staff, the best part of the resort is its hospitality, highly recommended for spending some quality time alone for couples or with family far from city hustle n bustle, totally relaxing experience, spa, gym n swimming pool are currently not operational but that doesn’t mattered for us.

3. The conference room is large and sufficient for 100 people gathering.
4. The Dining area is well kept with music,
5. The food was good with ample variety of dishes and desserts.
6. The location has no mobile signal. ( have to search for a spot to get it )
7. Many per-wedding shoots were going on.
8. Good for Drone photography.
9. The care-taker is an amazing and funny man.

Place is very much awesome. You can go here with family or a friend's group. Full entertainment and joying place.

Sunrise, fort and swimming pool is totally awesome and attraction of a destination. Most amazing part is fort visit inner side. Rooms are clear and totally awesome, restroom is also clear and clean.

Hospitality is totally awesome, staff is totally helpful.
I personally recommended to visit this place once with your family or friends circle. I personally bet that after visiting you never disappoint until unless you are trying to break rules and regulations.

Great place surrounded in all directions by mountains. The view of sunrise and sunset from the fort are eye beholding. View from the top of the fort is beautiful. Take a look around the fort & get 'THEN-NOW' feel.

The fort built in 1540 AD is well maintained by the Resort Management. The place has scenic beauty and is having all facilities like Swimming Pool, Restaurant, gardens, parking n heritage rooms to stay too. The food was yummy n visit memorable.

It is awesome experience to visit this place. It is located at the top of hill therefore the whether was good. We visited during the lockdown in month of Aug therefore there was no rush. I would rather suggest to visit in winters to more facinating view.The view of the city was mindblowing from the top, it is peacefull, pollutionless and quite off from the city. We enjoyed a lot there sitting in the yard. They charge 200rs for the guided tour and u can also book cottages for 8000 per night ( food excluded). The best thing i loved is that u can enjoy swimming in pool with beautiful environment. 🏕

Restraunt entry is free. Food isnt up to the mark. Make sure not to expect much with food. But the place is a beauty for 2 3 hours with your loved ones and photographs.

It is a heritage fort resort in Himachal Pradesh. It was built by Raja Ram Chander in 1540 AD. A wide range of internal activities are available there. Swimming pool, Spa and indoor games are some of them. Situated on a hill top and it gives a perfect panoramic view of the nearby places. Fort rooms are little expensive as it is not owned by HP tourism dept. You have to spend 8000 Rs. per night to stay here. Food and service was good with a lot of variety. Location wise good to enjoy time with your friends and family.

Very nice holiday spot. Far from the crowd. Fort concept is new to explore. Perfect place for pre-wedding photography. Nice food. Natural stuffs to explore. Staffs are nice. Swimming pool. Lighting is nice during the night. While coming from Delhi to this place, please put the fort name so that you don't get confuse with the way. Solan is big and this place is near nalagarh, ram sehar. You need to change choose the way through pinjore. You will have to remain inside the fort as long as you have booked the cottage. There is nothing special outside the fort. It's like a honeymoon place to chill, relax and enjoy the view. You can carry your stuffs like badminton etc. They have plenty of space for games and photography. It's place worth to visit. With options to stay in very beautifully desined cottages or to get the Royal feeling by staying in rooms inside the Fort.
Undoubtedly this is the best place in entire Himachal for a vacation !!

Really really really awesome place to visit... The view from there was just beautiful and the interior and the vibes there was really good... Actually felt i was in a real fort with minimal changes to the interior... Rooms were built really good... And it was quite funny to see that they had the biggest bathrooms in a hotel room I ever saw... A must visit to this place
