ETERNAL ISLE INN

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Eternal Isle Inn and it was an absolute delight. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, making it feel like a true home away from home.

The staff members were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was memorable. They were always ready to assist with a smile. Their warm hospitality made me feel like a valued guest.

During my stay, I had the pleasure of experiencing some delicious local cuisine prepared by the in-house kitchen. The homemade meals were a culinary delight and added an authentic touch to our stay. Overall, stay at Eternal Isles inn exceeded my expectations in terms of both accommodation and service. It's a place where you can find peace, comfort, and the warmth of the staff that truly makes you feel at home. I highly recommend this home stay for anyone visiting Munroe island.

We had the most lovely time staying here for 2 nights. The host family are the nicest people and made us amazing local food for breakfast and dinner. Their place is very comfy and well set up and also surprisingly affordable. They also organised the boat trip for us which was amazing. Highly recommend

We loved this homestay, comfortable place, great balcony area. Cleanliness in the bathroom could be improved though. The family is really adorable and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Breakfast was scrumptious! Highly recommended!! Oh and don't miss the sunrise canoe trip it's a must do!!

Wonderful homestay with such a lovely and welcoming family! The homely local food was delicious and varied. The rooms are clean, and they are in the upper floor with a dining room and a terrace, which gives a lot of privacy. Location is perfect. The family was available for all questions and arrangements with such kindness. We had a great time staying here and definitely recommend it!!

I had a great time with the family who is so welcoming and caring. First of all the homestay is very well located by the river, out of the touristic area (not even 5mn by tuktuk from the trainstation). The daughter is so helpful - and smily !- about turistic topics or transports and she has been sooo patient with my questions :-).
Rooms are big and cleaned. upstairs with a big terrasse, view on the tropical forest, flowers, and a lovely private patio for the guest.
The mother is so caring and a great cooker (all fresh food).
Just a perfect place to relax with a lovely local family. I hope i can come back.
Dont miss the canoe trip at 5.30am !

Great place to stay... Highly recommended for family/couple. The host and the family were very kind. Breakfast prepared by aunty was so delicious.
The house is very near to the boat point. The host also booked us a private boat at a very reasonable price.

I stayed with my family for 2 days and 1 night. The hospitality of the owner and his family was excellent. And the food was so good enough. The food was served as a feast with super duper fish based dishes. If you are looking for pure homely mother's food then this is the place one need to be. And the interaction with us as guests was so good and beyond our expectation. Appreciate your hospitality and humbleness. Cheers for the future.

Accommodation was good, good hospitality and food was decent.

They provided bottled water for drinking, but would like to say that they should have a sand/basic filter for the well water.

It seems they have some profit somewhere for the early morning boat provided by a third party, instead they could have negotiated a cheaper arrangement for the customer.

Other than that, this stay in Munroe is worth it.

An amazing place surrounded by trees and backwater lake. The hosts were very kind and mom's food were an add on to this stay!! I even took a souvenir (a shrub for terrarium) from this place. Worth every penny!!

They booked a boat with a responsible person for us to ride and remembered to wake us up on time for boating early morning.

That uncle was so friendly,
Their daughter guided on travel and other things.

I don't find any reason not to chose them again...

Its a simple yet very clean, and charming homestay, the family is so nice, and service oriented. The daughter, Kaathu, knows english very well, and she will. Help and organize anything from canoeing/boating, tea/coffe dinner or breakfast and autorickshaw to the train station. I recommend it!
BTW as for now- 30/1/2023 the took the sighn with the name to repaint it, so use the google maps - it give the precise place.

Absolutely amazing place to visit,we were warmly welcomed by the the Owner and his wife and daughter.It was the best experience to stay there. Location is very beautiful and close to the Nature, Rooms were neat and comfortable to stay, Hospitality was wonderful and friendly.They prepared homely food for us which was yumy!! I would strongly recommend this place for the family and couples. I would like to visit this beautiful place once again.

The rooms are nice, clean and cosy. There's a cute balcony that u can use for breakfast, coffee or just chilling. The family who owns the place is lovely. Their daughter speaks good English and they really care about their clients. The sunrise boating tour that they arranged was really beautiful and totally worth the money. Fully recommended :)

Its my first time in Kerala and first time in Munroe Island, Homestay is run by a family, they are very friendly. Room has everything needed. Neat and Clean. I requested for a lunch and was served with sumptuous veg meals :-) Also its very near to the lake where you can enjoy a nice sunset.

As a frequent traveler I am used to staying at guest houses and homestays all over India.
I have had a variety of experience, but I must say that the best ever experience I've had in over 9 years of travelling has been at Eternal Isle Inn at Kollam. I visited Kollam with the express purpose of participating in the Chamayavillakku festival where I would be taking part in the festivities dressed up as a woman.
Right from the time I stepped out of the train at and until the time I left, everything , small or big, was taken care of ably and efficiently by this small and loving family. They not only arranged for an auto to take me to and from the Kottankulangara Devi temple
but also arranged for the services of a makeup personnel. Karthika, the adorable and caring daughter of the family helped oversee all aspects of my stay and trip and helped
iron out any issues. Her father, though unwell himself, very magnanimously accompanied me to the festival and stayed with me through both days.
His concern for me, now dressed as a woman, and my safety, was touching! Auntie's hospitality was overwhelming making sure I was fed to my
satisfaction (the cost of these nutritious meals is very reasonable)
The house is just beside a beautiful lake in Munroe Island. My only disappointment was that I could not go on a boating trip as my itinerary was packed and my priority was the temple visit. Next time, when I stay here again, I will make full use of these trips.

We stayed for three nights although initially we planned on staying less time. Munroe Island is really relaxing, so is the homestay. Everyone is very welcoming, which made our stay very pleasant. The best part of it was undoubtedly the food. If you're asked what you'd like to eat just opt for local food and you'll get the best home cooked meals, made out of fresh ingredients with a lot of love at a very fair price. We also loved the Black coffee and the tea.

Another good factor is the layout of the homestay, while the family lives on the ground floor, the two rooms are on the first floor. One has AC, one doesn't. There is a shared balcony for the two rooms. Also, there is a separate entrance for the first floor. This gives you privacy, when you want to relax.

All in all, the Eternal Munroe Isle is very recommendable.

Quite apart from how comfortable and clean and spacious this was, the family were so welcoming and friendly. The home cooked food was delicious and they honestly made me feel completely at home. A highlight of my trip to India, I will certainly return to stay here again and again.

Such a beautiful and calm place🥰.The peoples were so friendly. And the accommodation was superb comfort for us.Their speciality is it is at the banks of river kallada🥰. The food they prepare is so yum especially their fish and prawns dishes🥰🤤🤤👌🏻👌🏻. Feels like want to visit again🥰😍

I visited Munroethuruthu during Dec 24 - 26, 2020 with my family and stayed with Eternal Isle Inn (Homestay). The hosts are a very warm couple and their daughter is extremely hospitable, who helped us explore some non-listed items, one can find around. The rooms were well-maintained, clean and comfortable. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the homestay. The food was authentic, sumptuous and very tasty.

On the whole, it was a very pleasurable experience and I would highly recommend the place to whoever would like to visit Munroethuruthu.

One of best HOMESTAY in Monroe Island Kerala. The host is awesome. You feel your at home.very nice area and the have parking place also.
Home food is amazing .they feed with heart.
Really enjoyed with them.
