I've been visiting Japanese Foundation for a long time for it's library. This was my first vist to the new location in Green Park. Was visiting for the 'Echoes of Prosperity' art gallery. Galerie Geek Art presented some of the best Japanese art from 1980 to 1990. My favorite was Japanese Joconde(pic attached) by Shigeo Fukuda. The guide book was a great touch. It helped me understand the artwork and the artist in detail. Looking forward for more such events.

The best library in Delhi for people who want to learn, explore and enjoy Japanese culture. It has an excellent collection of mangas and magazines from Japan like shonen jump and others who people an inside of the weekly mangas. It has other books related to Japan like its language book, Japanese yearbook etc. which are good for those who wish to know more about Japan and its people.

I am an otaku and hands down this is the best place to uncover the Japanese culture and learn Japanese. I went there with few of my friends, we visited the gallery which was very beautiful most of the paintings depicted the Japanese culture. The library was amazing, there were a lot of books and mangas and there were cloths for cosplay. Every few weeks they have a screening of anime movie (which is obviously every otakus dream to watch an anime movie on big screen). The staff is really polite and is always ready to help, location of jf is really accessible as it just a few metres away from the metro station

Visited an exhibit re: urbanisation of Delhi and it was quite well done & informative. 18 panels wth description and before and after shot comparing 1950s/60s to now. Takes 15-20mins to see it all.

Also visited the library upstairs. Nice collection of magazines, newspapers, books. A quiet and peaceful place to read or study

I love their initiatives, they bring in order to further strengthen the bond between India and Japan. Recently visited the exhibition of "contemporary japanese posters". It makes you more interested in Japan's history and culture. Watched a movie for free "the girl who leapt through time." Enjoyed it thoroughly. Also, they have maintained a very humble staff. Will visit soon!

Such an amazing place for those who are interested in Japan, its language and culture.
There is a library here containing various manga in japanese and novels by japanese writers. You can take membership at a very nominal price.

They hold some events too. Like recently they selected some people who gave the reviews of the novels they read and invited them to the Japan Foundation to discuss those novels. After listening to them, you yourself will feel like reading those novels.

Plus, they hold the japanese tea ceremony and calligraphy competition too(not everyday these events are held but you can checkout on their website). I participated in the Calligraphy and it was amazing^_^ The instructor their was kind and always smiling.

I believe everyone those who are associated or interested in japanese must visit there!🤩

Refreshing ambient, if you are a fan of manga I suggested you visit the Manga Cafe atleast once although their collection of mangas is limited, most of the popular mangas like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Vagabond, etc are there but not the whole volume of course. Also there are lots of books on Japanese Culture of which some of them are written in Japanese, so it somehow defeat the purpose if you are to learn Japanese culture but don't know any Japanese 😀

I visited the Japan foundation library as a visitor. It was a wonderful experience of reading Japanese authors books there, they also have mangas in both English and Japanese. The staff was friendly and the ambience was quiet to pass a summer 🌞 afternoon in favourite place such as a library. All in all I had a great time.

Photos aren't allowed to take inside the building.

Nearest metro station is Moolchand.

To visit one needs to fill the visiting form mentioned in library page.
