Damdama Lake

Our visit to Damdama Lake was a delightful experience. Set against a scenic backdrop, the lake was a visual treat, especially in the afternoon light. The highlight of our visit was the tranquil boat ride, which offered a unique perspective of the lake’s natural beauty. We captured some fantastic photos, with the serene environment providing the perfect backdrop.

The peacefulness of the lake was accentuated by the fact that it wasn’t overly crowded, even on a weekend. This made our visit more enjoyable as we could leisurely explore without the hustle and bustle often found at popular tourist spots. Damdama Lake, with its serene ambiance and picturesque views, is an ideal destination for those seeking a relaxing outing amidst nature. It’s a wonderful escape from the city’s noise, offering a chance to reconnect with the outdoors in a beautiful setting.

Recently I visited Damdama Lake, which is located 24 km south of Gurugram on the Gurugram-Alwar road. It has a serene environment and is about 64 kilometers or an hour's drive from New Delhi. In 1947, the British ordered the lake to collect rain. More than 190 birds migrate near this lake, which makes it a paradise for bird lovers, You can spend time with friends and family members, It is famous for boating, Camel ride is also available here
If you love fishing and boating you can go there. Boating time is 20 mins and for paddling boat price is ₹200/boat where only 2 people can go for boating while its capacity is that of 4 people. There is a small restaurant here whose name is sar
as restaurant.

It could be great weekend escape for the people if maintained properly. Boating and Camel ride were available at the time I visited.

Nice little lake with Aravali hills in the backyard make the location picturesque. Suitable for families as well.

Beautiful rainwater lake which is a good place to watch a sunset. Take your family and go here to view and be in nature. You'll find it peaceful. Walk around the lake and click some pics. Don't litter. Locals are generally helpful.

Nice place for weekend family picnic away from hustle bustle of city. It's so a bikers destination for weekend rides and off roaders. Decent scenery around and you can see a bunch of migratory birds during the winter season. Must visit for bird Photography lovers.

It's a beautiful picnic place, not known by many people, almost 40km from Delhi, you can return the same day. There is boating available, prices uploaded. You can have a camel and horse ride plus there are small games and tea maggi available near the lake. There is a restaurant as well for proper lunch or dinner at decent price and seating arrangement.
Try going in the winters, so you can enjoy the sunshine or in the evening in the summers.
Do take the Camel ride.

All processes in Gateway Resort at Damdama, a Taj property, are managed very efficiently for guests right from check in till checkout. Rooms are well organised maintaining privacy and greenery all around. Huge property with arrangements for indoor / outdoor games, lawns having courts for badminton, tennis etc, football field, swimming pool. We had stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed delicious food preparations in breakfast, lunch and dinner. Had happy hours with hot samosas specially fried for our group of friends who had gone there for celebrations of our 50 years of passing out from Engg. College.
We all loved the place and would recommend others to plan at least 2 nights stay, relax and come out rejuvenated. Cheers.

Guys this place is awesome. Nice activities for kids. Nice weather. Nice food. And also buffer is available @400 /prsn. Food Shahi paneer, mix veg, dal makhani, salad, tasty pullao, ratia.

Really pretty destination with scenic views, greenery and rural life for a long drive from delhi. You can bring your own food and have a picnic or there’s a government tourism restaurant where you can have food.
Then there’s boating, camel riding and few other activities for kids and adults.
Before going make sure you pick a nice day.

If you go from Gurgaon Sector 65 it will take 21 kms to reach Dumduma Lake.
There are lot of places for staycation including Taj.
I love the sun rise at the lake.
Lot of locals also serve food in the evenings in their homes.
The place is good for giving a rural experience to your children. Do not expect more that that.

Not very happening place. Government need to provide good lake side places to chill. Saras restaurant is good . staff there is very chill they really don't care whats happening. Sarkari sampati hai.

Great place to go on a weekend with family and friends. It has boating also. A lot of other activities are also there like camel riding, zip line and other adventure activities.

Wonderful place for spending time with family. A must picnic spot having a lake, mountains and park as well.
One can camp there over night. Hotel facility and restaurant are available.
There are various rides for children each with 50 rs fare.
Parking 40 rs fare and camel ride 200 rs.

A refreshing and peaceful place in Delhi NCR. It's must visit place, add one overnight stay in 🎪 tent if you want to enjoy the fullest. The Sunrise with a cup of coffee will mesmerize you and will give you a feel of a morning in Missouri. Best time to visit, November to February.

One of the best place to visit in Delhi NCR, specially if you are nature lover and want to feel the breeze and nature perfectly imperfections this the place for you.

Just 20 KM from Gurgaon and there are many options for Kids and Adults.

Specially the sports activities and Camel and boat ride.

Top of this is the nature and the on going Aravalli Hills make the Journey also memorable and pleasent.

The lake was commissioned by the British in 1947 for rainwater harvesting. In its current form, however, what makes Damdama Lake enticing is that it is home to over 190 species of native and migratory birds. In monsoons, water levels reach as high as fifty feet and this is when most of the migratory birds are spotted. Damdama Lake is the biggest lake in Haryana and stretches to almost three thousand acres. It is a popular place for picnics as well as for on-site training for corporate team-building exercises.

Surrounded by the rocky Aravalli hills and an uneven but exciting topography, this scenic lake is a perfect getaway for people in and around New Delhi, Delhi, and Gurgaon. Damdama Lake also has many resorts that offer adventure sports and paddle boating on the lake. Rock Climbing enthusiasts may indulge and try out their skills at the Aravalli Hills with difficult terrain. The water level of the lake has an average height of twenty meters but soars up to fifty meters during monsoons and covers a vast area of more than three thousand acres.
