I finally got a reservation at this famous restaurant Bukhara !
Most of the food was quite delicious , lots of different flavours all mixed together is such harmony . The big naan bread was very disappointing as it was quite dry and flavourless, but it looked quite spectacular as they brought it out and then placed it in the middle of the table.
We took the set menu option A ,
We had more food than we could finish .
But my favorite part was the desert .
Some delicious ice cream .
Overall , I was happy to have tried this restaurant that I had waited for such a long time .
The price is more on the steep side .
( but I guess this has become the new Normal)
The service was at first confusing and frustrating , but our waiter was quite a nice gentleman and we finally were able to order .
One thing that I found to be odd was that they expected us to eat the food with our fingers as no cutlery was provided . As a courteous they gave us some .

Wherever we ended up in the country, people knew about this restaurant, and it’s clear it’s built up quite the reputation, and deservedly so. We stumbled upon it by accident the first time around but it quickly became clear it was somewhere special, from the photos of dining celebrities on the wall and a host of awards and press articles. The decor also immediately makes an impression for feeling really authentic - low tables and fabric stools, with bare brick walls and lots of hidden nooks to the dining area make it unique alone. The tables are laid well, with traditional feeling plates, napkins and copper cups for the complimentary water which is frequently brought.

It was a shame there were no menus, instead with us directed to use a mobile device and QR code. While the menu isn’t the largest this still makes it more difficult to read. While not awfully great with English, the staff were happy to try offer recommendations and explain some of the dishes. There’s the full drink menu which you’ll find in the rest of the hotel bars / restaurants and all the service is very fast and professional.

The food is well presented and also brought in good time. What I still cannot get over though are the flavours - truly amazing. You must absolutely order the daal which remains the most memorable dish from my entire visit to the country, and the different breads are equally as impressive. If you can get a table near the kitchen seeing these breads prepared is a delight but with the popularity you’re never in a position to debate where you’re sat!

It’s certainly not a cheap place, and more suited to special occasions, but if you’re in the area you must try it out. It’s so good we had to return a couple of days later and I’d do so again!

I was completely blown away by the tatste of the food and the presentation of it. I had been staying in Delhi for almost a decade but could never visit this place for a definite reason that the location is inside a hotel- ITC Maurya. Secondly, it is not commonly known among college goers of its popularity. Anyway, that is not of any concern right now. Because, finally, I visited the place with my family members and family friends, and I must say it was worth visiting here. The food ordered was very tasty, and it was definitely finger lacking. 😋 Especially Sikandari raan (Mutton) and Daal Bukhara. The famous Naan of this place was also good to have with Non- veg ordered. I could not taste the other dishes but would love to have it if I get an opportunity. The services were good and the staff were courteous as well. Hope to visit here again.
Note: The seat requires a booking. Otherwise, you can not walk in and get the place. You require at least a week booking before visiting the place.

This iconic place has been on my bucket list for a very long time. The food is without any doubt outstanding, as well as the the staff is very attentive and friendly.

The overall experience at the BHUKHARA will give a pleasant feel of the best in class food with a team of world class chef’s providing you the food. We ordered the most famous item here i.e DAL BHUKHARA along with the soft butter naan. The potful, butter swim dal is enough to remind you to count your calories for the week.

Their menu is limited with only the north indian items, which is helpful in deciding the options.

Malai Chicken of this place is a must try, we tried the tandoori paneer and the fish fry. But prawn is one more dish to remember.

The staff behaviour is very nice, all the necessary covid protocols were also followed. Make sure you book your table 1 hr before.

This is the epitome of Indian / Frontier Food. For the kebab lover it feels like you have died and gone to heaven.
The only thing that is better than the food is their ambience.
Don't miss the Dal Bukhara, the Bharwani Kuclha, the murg malai kabab

Excellent food in a unique atmosphere. Check out the photos of Bill Clinton and other celebrities who have dined here. I can highly recommend the kebobs. Please note, you‘ll have to order your sides separately. The cocktails were very good, too,

You need to have a table reservation days in advance if you are not staying in Itc. This is one of the most finest restaurant of the country, specialising in Indian and Mughlai cuisine. This place serves the best ever dal makhani in this world, I’m not even exaggerating, you got to eat yourself to believe. They also have a record of world biggest naan, which is good to order if you are in a bigger group. Staff is very friendly. Love every dish on the menu!

I must admit that India is a culinary paradise for foodies, with diverse cuisine that changes from state to state (yes, there's so much more to Indian cuisine than ubiquitous butter chicken!). I visited this place twice and this review is my second visit. This restaurant is renowned for its rustic atmosphere, open-fronted kitchen, and delectable Northwest Frontier tandoori cuisine. Amazing place with great quality food. I'm more impressed with the quality of the food and the atmosphere which is quite calming. Recommended it!

Decent food but their Dal Bukhara was definitely the winning dish. Service team were great. Just wished the chairs were a little more comfortable to sit on. Beautiful decor though.

The esteemed restaurant is rated amongst the top 50 restaurants in the world. The fine dining restaurant serves excellent food at INR 7000 for two approximately.
Such celebrities as Bill Clinton and Bruce Springsteen have come here not just for the kababs but for the 'Raan' (a tandoori leg of lamb), the dairy-rich 'Dal Bukhara', and 'Tandoori Chicken' made as it should be, from small, free-range birds and with no food colour. Go early to be sure of securing a table
If you like rice, go elsewhere. Bukhara prides itself on not having served a single grain of rice since 1978

First things first: you MUST get the Dal Bukhara. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Combine that with butter naan and you’re in heaven. The food and service is great here. We tried the Paneer Tikka and Seekh Kebab - both solid.

The reservation was a breeze via ITC hotel website and I got the confirmation within few hours.
Went there for the first time with the family and ordered their signature Dal Bukhara. We also went for the 🫓 Naan Bukhara which was too much for a family of 4 😅(We should have stuck to the regular bread options as the size was humungous and meant for minimum 7 folks). The server also got us an off the menu Paneer and capsicum 🫑 (semi gravy) dish. All the dishes were bang on for us, with the right amount of spices and taste. Dal had a slight tangy taste which we liked.
As it was a special occasion we were greeted with a complimentary cake as well. This was a nice touch and we were all happy.
The service was good and full marks to the servers and the chef.

People may complain about the odd seats (similar to a cushioned stool)without a backrest, but the restaurant maybe doesn’t want people to linger around for too long after having the sumptuous meal 😂. Also folks who want soup 🍲 maybe disappointed, but then this is not a place for such cuisine. They specialise in north west frontier provincial dishes which are mainly tandoori items and they have nailed it.

I got to first hear about this place when a US President made a visit here and it was couple of decades ago. Since then I had the burning wish to devour their Sikandari Raan. Now, I am a frequent visitor here, mostly for my favorite Raan and their old famous Daal Bukhara. The only thing that the restaurant needs to work is their seating, you mostly need to adjust on a low level stool to indulge in the delicacies, and that takes some of the pleasure away.

Bhukara is a world renowned restaurant for authentic Mughal cuisine. Their kebabs and daal are exquisite and unmatched anywhere in the world. This is one of those restaurants worth flying halfway around the world to experience.

I don’t not give out five star reviews very often. This place was truly incredible and the staff were so generous. I was watching the kitchen and they came over and explain the different things that were going on in the kitchen. I haven’t eaten dal around the world and third dal is very special it is cooked on a charcoal fire for a very extended period of time. Yes that is bread that is bigger than five heads. The place is very veg or meat friendly! Last tip make sure you have a reservation it gets very crowded!

Perfect delicious 😋. They were very flexible for my reservation after getting stuck in Delhi traffic. Overall definitely get an order of the black lentils and 2 naan with them. You cannot go wrong with this signature dish!
