Double Dutch Resort

A beautiful resort nestled in nature. Nothing commercial about it. Very homely. The portico overlooks the lake and is very relaxing. Lots of butterflies and birds. They have friendly dogs which accompany you to the walk to the lake. Food is basic local cuisine cooked by the local care takers. Get yourself mosquito repellent creams and you are good. The presence of mosquitoes couldn't be a problem of the resort. We had a very relaxing time here.

We had pleasant stay here and felt like home. Mr.Palraj and family were hosting us and kept us in comfort.. Thanks, it was a great stay…

Stayed for a night and was such a peaceful stay. Special thanks to Paulraj and team for giving a homely feel which made us feel like family. Will remember the walk near the lake. Tip: Take a chair along if you want to watch the birds near the river.

We stayed here just for 1 night along with family and a pet dog, and it was a wonderful experience. The resort is located in a very beautiful location with awesome views. The view from the room is so relaxing and you forget the city stress.
The staff was very friendly , courteous and helpful.
We will definitely come back fora longer stay.

Most beautiful place we have ever met in life. Calm and quiet place. A nature lover can't leave the place. God's creation is made intact and nothing is artificial there. That's the beauty. Overall service is excellent. The hospitality is so good and they do take care of us as a family. So happy that we had a great time at the Resort. We will visit again...

I visited with my parents in January 2021. It is hard to describe the beauty of this place. The sights and sounds are soulful to say the least. The staff here treated us like family. The food was great. They have lovely dogs that would escort my parents on their morning walk. All in all, a great refreshing experience for a very reasonable price.

Offbeat location with great view. The staff were very friendly, rooms were comfortable. Best part was the food. Every dish they served was delicious. Highly recommend this place for group of friends or family who prefer a calm, beautiful stay.
Most important - very poor mobile network here. So come prepared.

Amazing weekend getaway 90 minutes from Madurai. The place is not difficult to locate with the help of Google navigation. It has a decidedly rustic feel amidst lush greenery. With no television it is a welcome change from the routine city scape. Staff were very friendly and helpful and respond patiently to all queries. Rooms comfortable. Hot and cold water and AC. Mesmerising walks around the dam. Beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Lots of domestic animals. Great village experience for children. Food is simple and hearty and cooked to individual taste and preference. And best of all no mosquitoes!

First of all this location is a hidden gem. I would really want to keep this location a secret spot as it's very serene and beautiful. Like the Swiss Alps albeit the snow caps, Athoor Lake is surrounded by hills that are very magnificent. This resort Double Dutch lies at one of the foothills and on the lake bed. The cottage is definitely the place to be in with it's scenic views. I would definitely recommend this place, if one wants to let the hustle and bustle behind and just relax here for a few days. The hosts of the resort are very warm and courteous. They serve good hygienic food. Note that this place is admist nature and expect insects and bugs dancing in the evening light. Don't even bother controlling nature here as it's got the upper hand. Just enjoy the resort in the nature, take an early morning walk along the lake bed preferably before the sun starts beating down. The resort dog is your best guide around the lake bed walk, I'm not kidding, the canine literally lead us without hesitation. To summarize, one of the best places to be, if you love nature. You will be mesmerized.

Excellent place to stay for short trip. Good ambience and the view from the cottage is awesome.The staffs are extremely friendly and the food is good. To our surprise they served us a freshly baked wheat bread and 10 different types of homemade fruit jams which were absolutely delicious. Wish we could have stayed here for more time.

Mind blowing location. Property is very good and calm. It's a water front property and hence entertainment guaranteed for kids and family. Mini-pool was also good. Staff behaviour is guest-friendly and services are very good. The kids park and the mini domestic zoo with a variety of species are sure to keep the kids entertained. Resort is so eco-friendly, nature themed with a variety of fauna and flora.

An unexpected inexpensive place near Dindigul..
Located at the foothills of d western ghats, weather will be pleasant during winters.. it's situated on d backwaters 9f a small reservoir and apparently it has filled up after many years due to the good rains this season. So the views were breathtaking..
Resort was very good and homely. Staff were very courteous. Food was good and basic. Only limited rooms available so plan ahead. Mobile connectivity is poor and only BSNL works..

A quite place to relax. It's not a grand lavish hotel. But more like an homestay with a bit of resort like amenities. The staff are amazing and the food more so (Simple yet amazing). The resort is located sandwiched between a hill and a reservoir, and the scene it presents is amazing.

One of the most amazing place to visit in dindugal.. Foods are so yummy. We went as a family with kids and everything went well and special thanks to all of the staffs who are all working there.
Due to some reasons the forest dept are not allowing to go to falls. If that is there seriously we have a amazing experience in this trip..
Overall if we need to spend me time go there and relax and inexpensive too. No second taughts.

Excellent service. Very good food. The rooms are very beautifully done and we'll maintained. A place to relax as there is nothing much else to do around.

But dont miss getting a look at the tree full of bats that fly out as night falls.

It's a must visit place for an amazing experience. It has breath taking scenic views, yummy food and most humble staffs. Overall a great place and i m going again for sure. Mr. Paul is an amazing host.

Just look at the view of the pic attached. This is the lake where we soaked, locate just through the resort. Highly recommended. The best place to turn your mobile to aeroplane mode and just relax.

The resort was wonderful. Had some quality and peaceful time there for a day. They do have a pool as well. Away from the city and internet. The environment was great to stay. Loved the experience.
