Arulmigu Soundararaja Perumal Temple

😍🧿The special features of the temple are a separate shrine for the Hindu deities of love, Manmatha and Rati. Soundararaja Perumal is believed to have appeared for the sage Mandukya. The temple observes six daily rituals and three yearly festivals💯✨

Not much crowded in weekdays. So can have great darshan.

One of the best perumal temple that I have visited! Must go here atleast once.. follow the map and reach this place. Car entry ₹30 ample parking space.

There is special “Rathi” Pooja happens on every Thursday morning 7 am- 12 noon.

Be it bride or groom,
expected to attend this Pooja.
Within weeks of time will get more proposals.

This temple is very old the carving of the temple and ideal are wonderful to watch . Peace of mind and must visit temple .

Finally visited today, had a peaceful darshan and the temple is very neat. From Dindigul Bus stand take the vedasandur bus and you can leave at thadikombu bus stop, from there 880m only walkable distance. Theypirai ashtami Pooja ticket can take from the temple outside itself and timings start from Morning 8:30 AM to Night 9 PM.

Very peaceful and ancient temple. Om namo narayana. Good vibrations. From Dindigul many city buses are available for thadikombu. From that, temple is walkable distance only

This Divine Perumal Temple

Located 8kms North West of Dindigul on NH7 (Dindigul-Karur-Salem Highway) is the 1000years old Soundararaja Perumal temple in Thaadi Kombu
This place was once referred to as Thaalai Vana Kshetram (reference to the number of palm groves surrounding the Soundararajan temple).

With the congregation of a huge Telugu population in this area, over time, this region came to be renamed as Thaadi Kombu (the place of palm trees).

The Legend
Having been turned into a frog, Manduga Rishi was undertaking penance here on the banks of Kumba River to relieve himself of his sins. Attacked by Asura Thalasuran, Manduga Rishi sought the help of Lord Soundararajan of Azhagar Koil who answered the Rishi’s prayers by killing the Asura.

A happy Manduga Rishi who got back his human form requested the Lord to provide darshan to everyone in the same form here at this place.

As the Lord acceded to his request, this temple is said to be the Northern Home of Maaliruncholai Azhgar.

This temple is famous for God Bhairavar & Soundraraja perumal. Visiting this temple during Theipirai Ashtami is very special but crowd will be there. This temple is located just 2kms from thadikombu bypass. Renovation is happening at the time of my visit, kumbabishekam is on 7 June 2023.

I recently visited the Temple and it was a truly awe-inspiring experience. From the moment I entered the temple grounds.

The architecture of the temple is simply breathtaking. The intricate carvings, vibrant colors, and meticulous attention to detail left me in awe. Every nook and cranny seemed to tell a story, and I couldn't help but admire the craftsmanship that went into creating such a masterpiece.

Temple is neat and clean with lot of parking space, I went while some construction work on going on, but nice temple to visit

A very special 16th century temple. The temple is located few kilometers from Dindigul. The temple was constructed as a prarthana sthalam to Azhahar kovil then. This temple provides a peaceful prayer. It's just 1 hour drive from Madurai and Pazhani.

During temple visits or weekend should be ideal for Darshan. The temple has special prayers and decoration during Purattasi Saturday's. September - October months has special prayers.

Such a serene atmosphere.
The temple is so beautiful and well maintained. This time it was a rushed trip. We definitely plan to visit this place exclusively next time and plan to spend long hours and couple of days here. Old temple with beautiful sculptures and divine history.

Bairavar function is more important and it will be heavily crowded at that time tickets will be available. Ticket cost will be 500 and online Booking also available.. No where you can see for bairavar online Booking that much famous..

A wonderful temple which is neatly maintained. A divine feel is enshrouding us inside the temple. Spacious parking is available. The only Vaishnavite temple where a sannathi for Shri Kala Bairavar exists. Not to be missed.

One of the most decorated temples. The temple walls are really beautiful with carvings. The speciality of this temple is the hall leading to Amman where different life size carvings are there - each with a single stone.... The main temple structure is also carved beautifully.
