The real temple looks way smaller than the pictures show but it's worth it. It is located in a nature conservation area and it's possible to see all sorts of monkeys, lizards, snakes whatnot on your way there. It's nice to walk around and the area is well-run. Parking is free but you'll be asked to buy flowers as an offering to Shiva before entering the temple. They are inexpensive - just 30 rupees and the pack includes incense sticks you can light inside.

Beautiful Temple located in Forest area. KEEP IN MIND THAT MOBILE PHONE NETWORK STOPS BEFORE 10 to 15 K.M. OF REACHING THE TEMPLE. Therefore i suggest you to book a cab for here because finding location on Google map would be difficult and you'll rarely find someone on the road to ask for the directions, this area is a little remote type location.

1) It is a worth visiting temple in Goa, a beautiful location, and a more beautiful temple located in a green area.

2) After reaching the spot, you have to walk about 500 meters to reach the temple. When you park your vehicle at the spot, there are a few small shops available with food and beverages. You'll find lady vendors approaching you selling flowers and incense sticks. You can buy from them, and it'll cost you just 25 rupees.

3) After reaching the temple, you can pay your prayers inside where Old Shiva Linga is residing. You'll have to light incense sticks outside where you'll see other incense sticks lighting.

4) There is a zoo or wildife sanctuary nearby which you can visit as well.

5) Drinking water is available at the temple.

6) There is no ticket system. Darshan is free for everyone.

If you land in Goa, you must visit this place. Situated in deep forest you will enjoy the journey through lush green forest. Absolute treat to eyes. This Shiva temple was build in 13th century, carved from stone. Also water flowing through nearby stream,from deep forest waterfall. Although water is flowing is less in summer but chilled.

It's a great place to visit.. About 50-60 kms from Dabolim Airport, this temple is situated quite inside of a forest.. However, the place itself is soothing.. The gardens in the temple area are beautiful.. The temple is surrounded by a small river/tributary on one side, trees/forests on almost all sides, and hills on one side.. It has a refreshing aura, you can spend a quality hour or two here, with family or friends.. It's a nice place to visit around Goa.. Gets you away for a while, from the party-life version of Goa.. Would definitely recommend a visit here..

Absolute treat to your eyes. This Shiva temple was build in 13th century, carved from stone. Well maintained temple by Archeological Society.

A very beautiful place in the midst of a forest. The temple is beautiful and the surrounding is neatly maintained. A stream flows through this place and the trail to Tambdi Surla waterfall starts here. You may find some nice birds in this place too. Few small eateries are available at entrance; snacks sold there are reasonably ok. Washrooms are available at this place.

The Tambdi Surla Temple in Goa is believed to date back to the 12th century. Path to this destination is very calming, through the forest area away from city noise. Known for its impressive architecture and historical significance and serene surrounding. Must visit place.

Ancient lord Shiva temple situated in a deep forest and with picturesque view.Very calm and peaceful place with positive vibes.Also have trekking facilities on outside gate of the temple.This is one the place where we can stay close to the lord Shiva.

Well maintained and clean. It’s shiva temple. Visit in monsoon. It’s greenish around the temple. Few chat stalls are available near the temple and you won’t get mobile over here. The place is inside wildlife sanctuary

Amazing place in the centre of nature.
We went there from Panjim, and it took us about 1.5 hrs. Out of this, about 45 mins was a drive through thick cover of trees.
The temple is archaic and we felt quite peaceful once we reached there. Although, the journey to the temple was even more peaceful. The roads are single lane but with no potholes, so we had no issues driving on them even in heavy rainfall.

Food? There a multiple small restaurants they you can find on your way to the temple, but at the temple, there are no restaurants, but small stalls setup by locals. You can find snacks like cookies, chips, etc., or you can also enjoy tea/coffee with pakodas and Maggie.

Important to note is there’s no network around that area, so download your maps, and keep enough cash for you local purchase.

if you wanted to get mahadev blessings in natural places with peaceful environment then you shuld definitely VIST this place. while on driving towards this place you travel through many wildlife sanctuary which increases your excitement 🙌🙌

Ancient Hindu Temple located in a serene peaceful picturesque location deep inside the forest built during Kadamba Dynasty rule. You will feel that vibe near the sanctum. No mobile network, if you get atleast BSNL network then consider yourself lucky. Very clean & beautifully maintained temple. A must visit for all Hindus, Indians & Foreigners alike.

Har Har Mahadev! Shiv temple is very old and very nice, the work done in stones here is very amazing which is difficult to do in today's time, so if you go to Goa then definitely visit here once.
