Urvai gate gwalior fort

The fort is awesome, I truly have seen many forts but this was a little different. The architecture is marvelous, the ventilation system which was made during that time is astounding. How thoughtful the kings were. The art on the outside walls of the fort is based on Hindu religious beliefs. And you will find the best carvings of Lord Mahavira on the huge mountain.
Sahashtrabaahu temple is epic and gurudwara witth it's story depicts the humanity of people at that time.
The fort stand still with ancient, medieval and british history.
But no proper management of the fort, people are destroying the beauty by littering, writing on the walls of fort. Wish govt do something for the betterment of the place.

Must visit great view all gwalior in one place

Urvai gate is the main entrance of the massive fort. Worthy of at least two days to go through the whole palace and it's grandeur.

The main entrance of The Gwalior Fort, good number of food shops and way is clean as well as four wheelers are enough to make way to the top of the fort... Good security and checking...

Although there is enough you can explore without tickets, but buy tickets for more fun.

This is such a very nice place.... see this Port atleast one time. We want atleast One day for seeing this Port. This is very cool place. Here we will see sunset and sunrise. Here canteens and many other small shops are there. Here we get more fresh air. Here we also see 9th AD century temple. We see Here more Shivalinga and Goutam Buddha vigrahas.This is very good place for Weekend for seeing. I strongly suggest for seeing this Port.

It's a GREAT archeological building to visit in FEB and MAR or OCT and NOV

You must use this gate if you want to reach the fort by car. Very convenient otherwise you will have to walk upwards for 25 minutes through the Kila gate.

This gate is usually not crowded and used for cars and buses to go to the fort, you might have to wait a few minutes if the buses are coming from the other side, as some roads are steep and narrow and there are some walking crowds as well on the road.

If u want to visit gwalior fort by vehicle , then use this this gate, u reach gwalior fort , other wise ..if u use other way, u have to park ur vehicle 1 km behind and then walk for 1 km to reach gwalior fort

If you want to go by Car, this is the only gate you need to enter
