Beautiful place to visit with Family. You can pack some food also and have a little picnic here. Be careful with the monkeys though. And do wear comfortable clothes.

Not a crowded place but you will enjoy boating. You will feel peace. Very good location. The government should spend money on the improvement of Infrastructure and transportation. One can enjoy a picnic with family. There is a small park for kids. You will enjoy the drive while coming from Gwalior to Tighra and vice versa with beautiful scenery on the way.

Visited this place almost after 18 odd years and this place has changed quite a lot. Located almost 17 kms away from the main city Gwalior.

This place offers a great spot for outings, get-togethes and reunions and few water activities like speed boats which costs around 520 bucks for 3 person for a 3 kms ride.

What a wonderful place, within 15km from the city. Enjoy fresh air, sunset or sunrise away from the hustle and bustle of the city life.
How to reach:- If you are outsider like me you can book an Auto rikshaw for around RS 400-600 (up-down)
Things to do:- there are various water rides, starting from speed boat to paddle boats, even there is a 8km long ride to a place called magarkund(crocodile habitat) but that ride is little expensive. They provide you proper life jackets.
There are some local fishermen they also offer you a boat ride at a very cheap rate but they don't have any life jacket.
Foods:- there is a nice restaurant, from snack to meal you will get everything (pure veg)

The experience is amazing. Everyone who visits should try speed boating plus it's a good picnic point too. So you can take your food and enjoy or relax in the restaurant located there.

Gorgeous place about 25 kilometres away from the city. Great for boating and watching the water. There is a restaurant at the location which we didn't try but it looked alright. Boating is kinda on the expensive end too, but considering the place doesn't get really crowded, I think it makes sense.

If you're going from Gwalior City Centre, don't take the road from lashkar-odpura, instead go by sagar taal road or AB Road, you'll thank me later. Although these roads are longer, you'll actually be able to drive here instead of just bouncing on rubble.

tighra dam is nice for visiting with family and friends. It will look like the nature is express it's love here. It's beauty will double in sun set time. you can enjoy boating here as well as you can enjoy crocodile watching.

This is really amazing place also for picnic spot plans and really amazing spot for sunset photography. 7 days opens & 11 AM to Sunset Time. Only ₹10/- charged for all also foreigners. Big parking place for 🚘 also 🚴.

Nice place for picnic. But there was no shop to buy foods. Boating charges are too high. They charged 400/- per person only for 4 minutes boating. Beware of crocodiles.

Well in a natural and wide jungle area far away to Gwalior .
The Dam area is open near Village .
Cool and Quite area with full of nature.
Must Have proper shoes , if you think go to water so keep rubber shoes or chapples
Keep Hat or cap and water bottles and some snacks .
If you want you can ride the speed boat or basic boats.
go in evening if you have time then you will see proper sunset.
Also THE BEST PLACE FOR PRE WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY , while having fun here i have seen amazing team of videographers taking drone shots of couples for their prewedding videoshoot .
Definitley the best time to visit this place is early morning and just 2-3 hrs before sunset .
