Gir Safari Booking

I enjoyed it very much. It was a total 39 km safari for 3 hours. I would suggest not to go on to the 1.5hours safari because in that way you will not be able to enjoy the soul and calmness of the forest.
Now I will give you two pro tip to try not to go with either route 5 or with route 11. These 2 routes have lower rates of visibility of lions. Moreover try to book your ticket only from the government website for Gir forest. Many third party entities are changing 10-20 times the original rate.

Saw a lioness and her cute cub crossing the road and entering jungle. It was magnificent site to see these majestic animals in their home. Well it is hard to spot a male lion, still the jungle safari itself is worth. I visited the 9:30 slot, however the guide recommended morning slot. Spotting wildlife is all about the luck and nature's activity. There is no right time to spot just the chances are higher when it is cooler like in morning or evening time.
Spotted many owls, spotted deers, nilgai, sambar, peacocks, monkeys, etc.

Get here early in the morning to book your safari and tour guide. Money spent is well worth it and the guides and drivers take extra effort to take you around the forest area.

Apparently they communicate with each other via phone to identify where lion sightings occur and quickly detour there.

They even draw your attention to animal tracks, birds, and other wildlife in the area. Also give some history and special memories of the place.

Note to tourists ... Be nice to them. I've seen a few unruly folks and the guides and drivers do not deserve to be treated rudely.

You should take the permit booking earlier only then you get the availability of the jeep.
Make sure choose early morning or evening safari which is good.
They charge ₹200 for dslr cameras
₹2000 for jeep
₹400 for guide
₹800 for permit

As luck would have it we spotted Lions and Lioness in all the Four safaris that we undertook. Spotting these beautiful creatures is just a question being lucky that day.
The guide and drivers are trained and we had a great time, they explained many things about Gir forest and the habitat and the local people how they co-exist. Lot to learn.
We are coming back for sure.
Book only through the government web site. It will help everyone to upkeep the facilities.

Great Experience in devaliya safari. Please book an early morning Safari.
Need to take an advance E permit for safari.

You must visit it an amazing experience.
But you must book your permit in advance because 3 shift and 150 per day tour.
Permit costs around Rs 800.
And 400 RS for guide and 2000 rs for Jeep have to pay there

I definitely recommend this safari.
We went for Devaliya safari on the first day and the normal early morning safari the following day. Devaliya is an interpretation zone. So, you'll definitely spot a lion(s) here.
In the early morning safari , it was still dark when we started but I can say that it is the best time especially because roaming in the jungle in the dark is thrilling and is not something you experience often. Spotting a lion depends purely on luck. We have seen a lioness just pass by our gypsy. And at another place, we have seen 4 lionesses. We did not get to see a lion but heard it roaring.
Always prepare for two safaris in which one should be Devaliya. This will increase your chances of spotting a lion.
It gets really cold in Gir especially in winters. So prepare for it. Don't get misled by the temperature forecast.

Very convenient booking system, there are two options Gir Jungle Safari and Devaliya safari, For Gir Jeep Safari one has to pay 1000 rs vide Gujrat government website nd get permit with timing fixed. Later on day of trek balance 2400 to be paid. Booking is professional and also guide and other services

The only Asiatic Lion Sanctuary in the world. A well organised booking and safari area and everything is systematically managed with very little challenges.

Excellent experience... Website interface is also good. Guidance on call is also good. Quite reasonable. Infrastructure of safari park is also very nice, well maintained. Staff is also very enthusiastic and helping in nature. It is very very much recommended for all to visit this place.

This place is not very famous but good, I have no idea whether it is worth visiting or not so I can't tell you to go there or not. This Gir is very famous all over the world, people from abroad come to see the lion here. And speaking in another way, the name of tHis is the forest on which Just from its name, you can guess what the place is like. You and I know that very well .

It was a great experience, Gir Safari is inside dense forest which is a habitat of Asiatic Lion. It's the biggest in all over asia. If you want to do Gir Safari get the booking done at least 48 hours in advance and prefer early morning Safari or evening safari being Asiatic lion sleeps for 16 hours a day., If unable to get any of those better you do Devaliya safari Park if doing in afternoon

Goid experience. Route 9 was good since there were many lions in that route. Forest was filled with dry leaves. If you want to view the greenery, then you can come on October-November.
