The Scindia School was founded by the late Maharaja Madho Rao Scindia of Gwalior in 1897, as the Sardar School. It was meant exclusively for sons of Indian royalty and nobility. It was renamed, "The Scindia School", in 1933, as it evolved into a public school with a Board of Governors, presently headed by Jyotiraditya Scindia, scion of Scindia family.[4][7]The Scindia School is a private boarding school for boys, established in 1897, and situated in the historic Gwalior Fort, in the city of Gwalior. It was originally started exclusively for royals and nobles of Indian princely states, particularly the Marathas, though it no longer discriminates on class.[4][5] In 2010, the school enrolled 606 students, with a teacher:student ratio of 1:12.[6

Having traditional and educational atmosphere around the campus. Guards are well behaved and are very good in security. Cars are not allowed to enter the campus for the security purpose. Founded by late Maharaja Madhav Rao Jayaji Rao Scindia in 1897, The Scindia School, Gwalior, has a rich legacy of 122 years. The School has also been ranked as India's No. 1 Boys' Boarding School in the annual Education World India School Rankings (EWISR) 2019-20. Fully residential boys school located in the historic Fort – constantly redefines its relevance since 1897 by remaining in step with changing times. It practices modern educational methods with the support of up to date infrastructure, a well-equipped library, health center with a residential doctor, more than 300 computers with large network of Dell servers, projectors and all necessary peripherals. The students live in 12 residential houses – eight for senior and four houses for younger students. The Housemaster/ Housemistress residence is attached to each house to ensure the availability of pastoral guidance at all times. I had a lot of fun with students, they are very sincere and honest can say very smart, the faculty were also very good overall this is an great experience to work with them.
