200 acre museum is a must see in Bhopal. Unique concept of community contribution and involvement in showcasing village culture.

It's really a center of coloration from every state . It's maintained is excellent and if you need to see all properly It's take 4 to 4 hrs. But it's good to see.

The IGRMS is a anthropological museum that preserves links and research ideas about the origin and social relationship of human beings long ago. The entire museum is spread over an area of 200 acres of land and is very huge. The museum is close to the famous Demonstration Multipurpose School in Bhopal and also near the Upper Lake. So we accessed it through t he lake view road. The time I visited was during the ongoing open exhibitions in the museum. I went round the museum and also learned that the museum holds different types of exhibitions throughout the year. Indoor galleries, special exhibitions, periodic and temporary exhibitions, traveling and online exhibitions are few of them.

The museum is very close to the Upper Lake, and therefore it attracts large number of visitors daily. It also contains a rich variety of ancient resources collected from every nook and corner of India. The museum has a large library where I found few of the best compilations that represented the history and evolution of the country. There is an indoor museum which depicts the life style of the people who lived long ago. From the collection of weapons they used food, utensils and clothes they wore, everything is preserved in the museum. There is also the dummy structure of the kinds of houses the ancient human beings used to live.

The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya is located on the Shamla Hills in Bhopal. So the view from the hill top to the entire city was picturesque. The lake also provides a good recreational area where I sat for a long time before returning back for the day.

As traveling is what I do whenever I get some free time, I was truly impressed by the information I have gained from the museum visit.  I was truly happy that I made a good decision to bend my interest toward visiting one of the ancestral monuments of India.

Go anyday except Monday and any public holidays.
Great place to see if you are curious to know about our ancient culture and traditions.

Never thought that people’s habitat could be turned into a tourist spot. Variety of local houses from different states depicting their lifestyle and work ethic. It will take about a day’s time to visit the whole sanghralaya because it is spread across a large area. It also covers the distinct typology of houses according to the environment such as river habitats, desert habitats etc. photography here is paid

The most beautiful place in Bhopal. Go to the hill top chai tapri if you like to spend some time in a serene and tranquil atmosphere. No crowd.. beautiful lake view.. huts n that beautiful tapri. I love to go there on a cloudy evening.

Must visit place specially children, teens and adults.
Entry fee is 50/- per person
Vehicle is allowed
Need whole day for detailed visit.

Loved the places. Awesome collection of Tribal peoples art and their tools, architecture and techniques. It has spread in acres and need a bike to enjoy the Museum. There are libraries, galleries, wide collections of art and tools they have used at the beginning of Human age. Tickets for per person is 50rs.
Place will give you amazing feel of nature.
Canteen are there to sit and enjoy the Scenery.
Best place to bring children and come with Family.

This is an Anthropology museum showing different cultures in various parts of India. Good concept. Need to spend 2 to 3 hours for visiting.

Museum of Man as the name suggest provides you details of evolution of human, Darwin theory and other such details. Along with this, it also has miniature of art forms, ancient traditional life form etc. Try to visit Lake View from other end. One needs have 2-4 hrs time to visit all the gallery. Entry ticket would cost around 50 Rs for Indians plus 100 Rs for Camera, if you show. Advice would be, to take your vehicle as walking would be tiring. Enjoy the scenery and dense forest.

A place worth visiting. Widely spread area around 2kms showing various Indian tribe culture. To fully explore you will need at least 2-3 hrs. We must promote it and people must visit it once to enhance knowledge of Indian culture.

Very nice place to visit to see Indian diversified cultural haritage at one place . Every one must visit at Bhopal. Both indoor and outdoor exhibition are nicely displayed. If guided tour will be there then it will be more benifititial.More facility for elderly people may be provided.

Very wonderful experience Lots to know about diversity of our country, Various residence of different tribe like gond,bhil,santhal,Maria, bodo,munda etc is there,lots of greenery,very big area ,different species of plants also there ,veethi sankul is also so big,if u visit you love this place a lot

This museum is in very big area, almost 2kms. There are many ols sculptures are available which are related to human civilization. It shows that how people were living in ancient time. Their dress, jwellery, kitchen utensils and many more things. You can spend here almost 3-5 hrs.

One of best place that visited in my life.. its contains all tribals history of india.. place with less crowd make top of the happiness in solo travelers heart. Make a feel like travel in forest area in alone..
