Turtle House

Sitting next to the pool with soft breeze rustling through the trees, Turtle House is a must visit for a romantic dinner.
The food is beyond amazing and so is the hospitality of the staff. Special shout out to the Chef Jai Singh who personally made sure we had the best evening in Havelock.
Thanks to the talented team comprising of Vikas, Bikas, Mahender & many more who had infectious smiles while serving us.
Our night was more than musical thanks to he melodious singers Latte and Laila.

The Turtle house is Taj exotica multi cuisine restaurant mainly for sea and continental dishes.
this is nice cozy pool side restaurant Evenings they play live music which make the atmosphere Devin. surrounded by trees , located above the lobby and gym room overlooking the Radhanagar beach and Bay of Bengal.
you have multiple choice of sitting long sofas , chairs , pool side Cabanas,etc.
The food here is real mouth watering , the falafel platter , water chestnut salads, different mock tails and cocktails, Risottos . we being Vegetarian could not try the sea food specialties for which this place is famous for.
The service here is excellent .
Due to The vicinity of forest mosquitoes' or sand flies may trouble you a bit. this place is a experience in itself.

Enjoyed my time here. Jagannath was perfect as an server.

However, to really see the beauty of this place one needs to visit during the day. After dark beach is not visible.

Basic, mediocre food at Taj prices.

Truly overpriced meal as expected of Taj. One would think they are providing out of the world food seeing their prices but not worth even 50% of their price. Don’t get me wrong, the food is good but not worth that price, especially in Andamans.

In theory, Turtle house has a great view, it’s by the pool, with a cozy set-up and live music to make for a good vibe but reality doesn’t materialize. It was extremely humid (even at 7pm) and we were swamped by mosquitoes. They have 2/3 rotating fans for the tables close to walls and pillars but the rest of the tables are pretty stuffed. While the staff tried their best to find solutions to the heat and mosquitoes, it just didn’t work. We’ve been to other restaurants and hotels on the island and I believe the restaurant set-up at Taj just doesn’t work for meals.

As for the food- it was underwhelming at the best. As vegetarians who don’t eat egg, we only had two options that weren’t salads. Out of the three dishes we ordered, the Caesar salad was the only dish we actually liked (sad, but true)! And the drink we ordered never showed up.

We have been to several other taj properties in India and we have to say that while the property maybe the most beautiful, the food definitely ranks the lowest.
