The waves of the sea collide here on a rocky surface and make a pleasant sound. The water touches feet which is a really exciting experience. Great view of the sea.

Such a beautiful island with pristine beaches,a calm and peaceful place to enjoy a relaxing day or two. You can sit and relax at the beach, enjoy the colours of sunrise and sunset , explore some greenery near the beach or see some beautiful corals. Also you can try some water sports like Snorkeling or Scuba Diving .Local people are very good and friendly. It is really a small island and you can rent a cycle to roam around the whole Island.
Very nice memory of this island, definitely want to visit again.

A very beautiful island with crystal clear waters of Bharatpur beach , the wonderful natural bridge, sunset and sunrise points in Lakshmanpur beach are breathtaking. The diverse corals ranging from finger corals to brain corals, sea cucumbers, nemo fish to all the amazing sea fishes and corals you ever want to see you will find them here. There's no network here except bsnl, a beautiful peaceful peace of heaven away from the pollution of city and a perfect vacation spot❤

Very cool island after havelock.
Have few good resorts, beaches are near.

Budget travellers can ignore if not required.

Neil Island is best suited for those who want to spend a relaxed time among long deserted beaches. With little bustle, few activities to take up, and few resorts, this island is best for those who want to explore the island’s villages.

Spend quality time at the named after mythological characters from the Ramayana, or indulge in water sports in the crystal clear water – Neil Island is Andaman’s rustic masterpiece.

Neil Island now known as Shaheed Dwip is one of the most famous tourist spot in Andman. Beautiful beaches and luxurious resorts to stay with delicious sea food. The famous spots here are laxman pur beach, natural bridge and Bharatpur beach. One can enjoy beautiful sunset here too. You can approach here by sea route only by ferry boat. Please remember cell phone network is rarely available here.

*Lakshmanpur beach no.2: *

*This place should NOT be open to tourists *

There is a LOT of biodiversity in the corals beneath the water. These corals have thrived here for millennia, but now with the arrivals of tourists, they are being damaged. There are so many species of animals only endemic to the Andamans, which face the risk of extinction because of tourist activities here.
We saw Octopus, starfish, Mudfish, various corals, Crabs, silverfish etc. Their habitat is being destroyed by thousands of tourists walking on the corals during low tide. Majority of whom come only to take pictures of the natural rock formations looking like the bridge, with less regard for the beautiful life thriving beneath their feet.

The guides here are very nice and polite, and there are shops lining the entry to the beach, I would hate to cause them any disadvantage, but tourism is killing the innocent animals and that should be stopped.

Just one thing: the camera can not capture the beauty of this island. The water here is crystal clear. You can see through the aquatic plants and animals.

Shaheed dweep also known as Neil Island is one of the most beautiful place situated in the North of the Andman Island. This dweep is full of natural beauty. Starting from beautiful sunrise at Sitapur Beach to breathtaking sunset at LakshmanPur beach, every place is full of the natural beauty. It is a very calm place. Visited this place with my family in March. Crystal clear water at Bharatpur beach was amazing. Sea creatures, fishes and beautiful corals are seems like family members at Natural bridge. Natural bridge or Hawrah bridge and coral rocks are most famous place to see. Stayed at Reef valley Resot. It was a very lovely hotel. One should visit this place during Andman trip. Since water is very clean and clear, water activities like Snorkeling, Scooba diving, glass boat ride will be amazing more than anywhere.
