Shree Saptakoteshwara Temple

Such an awesome temple... We travelled from South Goa to here with an amazing road...
This temple was rejuvenated by the great emperor shivaji Maharaj.
The temple and its area is completely maintained clean and neat.
It's the temple of the lord Shiva.

Really peaceful place. Lord Shiva is worshipping here. The river is just flowing in front of this temple. Other 2 temples also here.

First of all, I'd like to thank the government of Goa for taking the initiative and completing the restoration of the Saptakoteshwara temple, which was built by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj This temple is situated outside the citywhere only the people, who really want to visit will come.
Temple is beautiful and has a lot of positive good energy surrounded. A must visit temple.

It is historical temple , made by chatrapati shiva ji when Portuguese destroyed the temple which was initially situated in diwar island in Goa.

Shri Saptakoteshwar temple,an ancient temple built by Chatrapatri Shivaji maharaj during his visit to Goa. The temple is being now restored with its original aestheics and structure by Government of Goa. From Panaji one can visit the temple either by road or can take ferryboat service from raibandar. With ferry one can enjoy the scenic beauty of nature.

Divine place. Renovated mandir looks beautiful. Mandir area kept clean and neat. Also nearby lake is maintained well. Overall good experience.

Very nice and calm mandir at narve near Bicholim. Shree Satpakoteshwar is a form of Lord Shiva. This is a historic temple, built by Kadamba King which was later destroyed over a period of time and was tried to restore by 2 Hindu kings. The 2nd king was Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the great pride of India who restored it after it was demolished by Portuguese. Recently it was inaugurated by CM of Goa, it has been beautifully renovated. There are 2 more temples close by, one is of Goddess Arya Durga. Parking is available. If you have senior citizens with you, get your car right next to the mandir. There is no toilet facility, though you can use one which is available inside the local gauridian/pandits house. There is a small Cafe where you can get tea/coffee/lemonsoda. MANDIR is almost 1hr 15mins drive from Dabolim airport. There are two ways either you can come from inside short cut narrow roads or straight till mapusa and then turn towards Bicholim. On the way you can visit many other mandir till narve. You don't have to take any ferry boat to reach here. Very peaceful and serene place,surrounded by trees around.

We went to the temple during the jirnodhar. they got delayed in the process due to lockdown.
In this year they may complete the temple and open it for devotees.
Till then the "god's mukha" is being transferred to the old temple and u can take blessings there.

Road is easily accessible. Locals are really friendly and happy to help.

We visited while the painting, restoration work was been conducted. It’s a serene drive from the ferry terminal. I would recommend carrying snacks while being on the drive.

I believe there might be a significance where most of the temples you need to climb a mountain and there would be a walk but here you can actually get the car till the doorsteps of the main Temple.

Another Temple worth visiting is Shantadurga temple which just next to main temple.

This temple has been renovated recently by the bjp goa goverment .. and The kaavi wall art has been restored ... You feel calm and relaxed inside the temple ... This temple was built by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj .. saptakoteshwar is the raj Daivat of goan people ...

One of the most ancient peaceful temple in Narve. The restoration of Kaavi art has been skillfully done. While doing a pradakshina, on the back side of garbagruha, there are steps to go to the upper flow which are been now covered with glass. These steps head to a room where the meetings were held by Shivaji. (If i'm wrong then kindly correct this mistake). The lake is also calm surrounded by trees. A must visit temple.

The temple at Narve. The temple is under renovation. There is a narrow tunnel behind to temple that leads to you an upper dome. If you stand at the centre and chant "Om" it will reverberate and create a humming sound effect. Also around 1 km away from temple there is a cave under ASI. Pls ask locals to show the path. They will gladly show you through their spice garden.

Don't forget to visit the house / tea shop in front of the temple. You ll be amazed.

Saptakoteshwar temple is divine place , its shiv shankar temple located in goa remote place.

Currently redevelopment of temple is ongoing.

You can visit this temple via car /bike roads are good it took around 40 mins to reach from Panajim.

Temple is good but you can skip it. It's very much inside of village. Renovated Structure is like any other temple in goa. So I don't think it's a much.

It is Located in the village of Narve, the Saptakoteshwar Temple is considered to be one of the six sites which have temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Good temple to visit once. Two ferries to be used to cross mandovi river from Panajim. Type full name Shree Saptakoteshwara temple. If you type only saptakoteshwara then you will be taken to different place.

Its a holy place which was renovated in history by great emperor Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj of Maratha dynasty.
Location is near narway, dicholim, goa
