The first time I tried Japanese cuisine it was great.
The food was tasty, well served, not much waiting time.
Salmon sushi was tasty, fresh and well served.
Cocktails also were great, I had a great experience having dinner here.

Most of the foreigners are visiting here.
Some times getting a seat is also lucky.

The management is also very service minded, how they are treating the guests was great, Very friendly.

Ambience looks good and attractive.

What to expect at Sakana
You'll be welcomed with a smile and treated warmly. You will enjoy the no-frills setting that opens out into a garden. The food is top quality with tons of options for vegetarians. Every dish is delicately prepared and tastefully served. And the drinks are a treat to look at and to enjoy. Hard to fault, really.
You'll be glad you went.

The meat of the beef yakiniku was very tender and the taste of the sauce was very delicious for Japanese people.
Indian rice doesn't go well with Japanese food, but it was so delicious that I wanted to eat it.
I didn't expect I could eat such a good taste Japanese food in Goa.
The staff are friendly and the customer service is polite. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm and I would like to visit again.

This place is really awsome for food as well as to chill out with your friends. Kaisan roll and tofu roll was yummy 😋 gonna revisit only to try their sake bomb with budweiser

Great experience at Sakana, we went today for dinner. Good food, good hospitality. Run by a Japanese lady who is very sweet n accommodating. She recommended just the right dishes we were looking for.
Strongly recommended- plum whiskey, salmon & tuna sushi, prawns tempura, butter pudding cake .
This is what we ate, rest of the menu n dishes look yum too. Situated on Mapusa- anjuna-chapora road. Recommended for people looking for good Japanese food. Will come back again for sure.

One of the best places I've been to I must say for Japanese cuisine in Goa. This place is owned and personally supervised by a wonderful Japanese lady, Ms. Marie. We were welcomed with a smile by her personally and her staff. The vibe at this restaurant was very positive and ambience was tastefully done up. Talking about food, they have a good range and choice of Japanese food. We tried a couple of sushi and cold noodles here both veg and non veg. These items were top notch and we enjoyed every bit of this place. Definitely a place you must try for quality Japanese food in North Goa.

We have been several times now, to Sakana, and it has never disappointed. The setting is great and spacious, lovely booths and more open tables to choose from, very pleasant. Then of course the food. The salmon lover roll is a great favourite, as is the salmon and avocado roll. Overall the food us of superb quality, served with chopsticks and your own bowl of soya sauce to dip into. The toilets are spacious and clean and we can never leave without have a go in on the swings in the garden.

Food, taste and ambiance are amazing and fantastic place for vegetarian options too! Must try around goa if you want to try some tasty food.

If you like Japanese cusine, you are going to absolutely love this place.
I tried the salad roll sushi which came with a sweet sauce and udon noodles with shrimp and chicken in a miso broth. Yazu cheese cake wasn't the best though.
Beef yakiniku is juicy and flavourful. I recommend this.
The food is very comforting and the chef really knows what he or she is serving.

This was a surprise find for one of the best Japanese cuisine joints near Vagator. The ambience is beautiful and apt with the theme. The food was excellent. We tried their sushi, pork belly as well as the main course. The food was sumptuous and the service was great. Lee really provided an excellent service not only he is humble and hospitable he even recommended us what we should go for and what can be avoided. Hot food, beautiful set up and showers of rain made our evening all the more special. I'll definitely recommend one to visit Sakana if you are around and crave Japanese cuisine.

The open air settings of this restaurant, the campus which has ample space on the sides of the seating area, the friendly staff - all ads to a great dining experience.

Nice place to have a relaxing lunch with japenese cuisine. Definitely worth going here to try some variety food. Lot of options in the food also. I tried Ebi Katsu roll, Ramen, Gyoza. The reason behind 4 star for food was for lack of options in ramen section. Expected more of simple combinations, Other than that everything was very nice.

Authentic and delicious Japanese food in Goa! Sushi and ramen were incredible, and their staff was very friendly. Many options for vegans and vegetarians, and they are pet friendly!

As usual the sushi was amazing. We had the salmon lover roll and the prawn tempura.
We ordered the pork tonkatsu. Which was flavourful and soft. We had drinks as well.
Must visit.

I ate way more than I should, which should tell you something about the food.

I ate pork belly with kimchi, salmon lover roll, tuna makki, spicy tuna makki, tuna spicy roll, and another I can't think of the name.

Fish was fresh, the rice was good, and sauces complimented the fish and did not overpower them.

Very happy with the sushi!

The space is a lovely surprise. From the street you no clue. It's behind a fence and you walk up this path that reveals all this green, trees and suddenly...

Sakana is a Japanese Restaurant which allows you the opportunity to try authentic Japanese cuisine at affordable rates. We loved everything we ordered that day from the Sushi to the mains and even the Lime Soda!

Found this lovely little Japanese place tucked in one of the tiny lanes of Anjuna. The host and the owner are really enterprising (do say hi!), and the food is something every Japanese cuisine connoisseur will like. I tried their Gyoza and California Rolls, along with a mocktail made with elder flower which was exquisite. Love the ambience and the vibe of the place too. Do check it out if you’re in Anjuna. I’m sure their menu caters to every taste.

Extremely tasty food in a beautiful setting, how very Japanese. This is a place worth finding if you like Japanese food.
💜 Recommend the Spicy Tuna Sushi, Tonkatsu and Fish Teriyaki, all dishes outstanding.
