Desert Open Air Exhibition- Manav Sangrhalaya, Bhopal

In Manav Sanghralaya just in front of Aviriti , Village of Deserts is situated, Desert Villages are represented by the typical dwellings from Jaisalmer of Rajasthan and Kutch region of Gujrat. Dwelling complex of Rjputs from the deserts of the Jaisalmer, Rajasthan & the complex of traditional Bhunga of the nomadic Rabari people of the Kutch are the main exhibits in this exhibition which highlights the process and degree of the adaptation to the environment.

Various Ethnographic objects displayed inside the dwellings represents the life ways and subsistence strategies of the dwelling populations. An exhibit of the traditional stone house from Jaisalmer and a huge size stone Chhattri are important examples of the stone architecture of Rajasthan desert displayed in this exhibition.
