Great place for concentrating and mindfulness. This temple was built during the reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Located near the lake the place also gives good views along with a pleasant atmosphere and clean air. It is completely made of black ancient stones without using the cement!

Old Temple of Shiahankar built in 1757 located at khopoli near Gagangiri math

I recently visited this holy place. It is a temple of Lord Shiva.
This temple is near from khopoli station.
Approx. 15 min walking distance and around 5 five min by local transport (Rickshaw) which one need to shell around 50 rs approx..
As per the information on the entrance arch one can come to know it is one of the old temple (Year 1758).
It seems that this temple has been recently renovated.
Clean and very well maintained.
The movement I entered this temple, I could feel a calm, soothing and blissful vibe.

I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends for sure.

Amazing temple on the way to Gagangiri temple.
The temple is constructed on 1785 and it is made of stone.

Not very well known and a kind of neglected place, but this is a Shiva Temple which is about 200 years old, built in stone and has historical importance. There should be detailed information about the history related to this temple though.

Vireshwar Mandir Mahad is the most popular Lord Shiva temple. Vireshwar Maharaj Mandir is among the top places to visit in Mahad. Local people call this temple as Vireshwar Maharaj temple. This Lord Shiva temple is believed very old and about 1000 years but the building of the temple is comparatively new and about 360 to 400 years old. If you are in Mahad or visit Mahad then this temple is must visit place here.

Temple architecture looks so beautiful. Temple has a big statue of Nandi and for going to Nandi you have to use stairs. In front of the Nandi statue, there is the main gate of Shivling. You have to first climb the stairs and then go downstairs to reach Shivling. Shivling is situated in a small square-type room that is below ground level. Nandi and Shivling not at the same level in this temple you can notice it after visiting this temple.

Before entry into the campus of the Vireshwar temple, you can see there is a small temple of Shri Devi Koteshwari Mandir. Outside the temple, there is a small pond where devotees also take baths.

Very peaceful and beautiful place to visit especially in winter,the temple is truly beautiful, there is a small tea stall just outside the temple ,the vada pav and pakoda was jus so tasty must try

LorD Shiva's Temple with such n amazing lake beside . It feels Amazing to be here . The temple has been kept very neat and tidy and maintained very nicely by the local bodies.. if u like to visit temples, this is a must visit place friends.

The reservoir holds excellent water throughout the year. The reservoir has surrounding walls also built in stone.

I love this temple... very holy place. The Temple situated among the mountains of Khopoli ghat, lord Veereshwar and maa Parvati, Nandi are very impressive with spiritual feelings.
