Shree Jagdish Mahal Heritage Hotel

Absolutely beautiful interior and exterior. The intricate details have been preserved excellently. We stayed in the family suite and were blown away by the size and the coziness of the room. The washroom is pretty big and clean. The staff is very polite and soft spoken. Always ready to help you. Special kudos to Bharat sir. The food is so tasty and reminiscent of good home food. The food portions are also big. Our best experience was staying in the terrace during the night and looking over the city and the stars. Loved the peace and quiet. The whole haveli gives a very warm feeling. Would definitely recommend for an authentic stay.

My husband and I, both from the USA, stayed here for two nights. Everything was satisfactory based on our expectations for Udaipur. The staff were largely friendly, courteous and responsive (plus easy to communicate in English). They even contacted us after we checked out to let us know we forgot a phone charger, which we appreciated very much!

The room itself was great-we slept well in a relatively quiet room on the third floor and the hot water in the shower was a huge plus. We were here over New Years and it was a comfortable temperature inside.

One thing that could have been better was more reliable WiFi (it only worked on the ground floor for us) but given our other experiences traveling in India this seemed pretty normal.

Getting a rickshaw to/from the hotel was challenging because of ongoing construction and generally narrow roads so be prepared to walk ~5 min downhill from the Jagdish temple.

Lastly, staff was uncharacteristically aggressive/quasi rude on cajoling us to fill out a Google review for this hotel which we found somewhat disconcerting (though we understand the need to market themselves and expand their online footprint). Despite this we had a great experience until that point.

Located inside the bylanes which is a 2 minute walk from the Jagdish temple. Do not go by the reviews or hotel pics online,this place is a true heritage hotel with about 180years of history attached to it.
Rooms are really cosy but not over the top plush but are comfortable and ornate with Rajasthani culture in every corner. The terrace has the best view in the area and is equally beautiful to chill and relaxin the evenings.
All in all if your looking for a budget botique stay then I would highly recommend this property.

Awesome royal rooms in affordable price. Great staff and service of Bharatbhai. Feels also good while discuss with owner also. Breakfast was also tasty. Rooftop view is also super. Cleanliness is perfect! Almost every site scenes are very near from this hotel. And few are just walking steps away like citi palace.

It was really a nice stay.Typial indian heritage experience you will have. Hospitality of the staff was really good. They provide you the pick up facility. Complimentary Breakfast they provided was unbeatable. Rooms were neat and clean with all the facilities. They are very particular about cleanliness. Stay at this hotel is recommendable.

Lovely staff. Very kind. It is a well preserved historic home they are maintaining with respect to history. We stayed a couple days here then a couple by lake. Be sure to get a room with window into inner courtyard, to get the nice breeze.

It was a beautiful Hotel & restaurant. Consist of giving and Heritage view. it's a prime location to visit all the places because it is near to every heritage places. Food so hygienic and healthy. Rooftop was outstanding it gives good snaps and morning and in the evening. It is also have Indian original Nagar Seth room.

Excellent stay at Shree Jagdish Mahal Heritage Hotel. Our trip was taken care of well according to our needs and plans. Special mention to Bharat Ji who took care of every small thing at any moment of the day. Totally homely atmosphere with tasty food. Quiet environment with a beautiful terrace. We were asked constantly if there were any issue. Walking distance from Jagdish temple. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone who want a chilled stay at Udaipur, away from city hussle.

Excellent stay with great service. Staff members are very cooperative and supportive. And along with it the interior of room and hotel is in Rajasthani pattern. It is located in centre of city where all shopping market is in walking distance only problem is that cars can't come inside due narrow road wrt cars

Amazing and comfortable stay. Clean rooms and washrooms. Nice staff and service. If you are into experiencing haveli feels with palace culture at quite affordable cost, then this is your cup of tea.

Place is neat and elegant. Gives you an old vintage feel. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Bharat bhai is your go to guy for anything. Since it's an old heritage place, the place is a little difficult to access but any rickshaw guy will take u to it. Specifically, it is budget friendly.
Hotel is very close by to Jagdish temple and city palace.

I had a very good experience staying at this hotel. They also upgraded my room on arrival. I was impressed by their service and hospitality, they helped us in guiding our Udaipur tour and delivered food on time. Their room service was outstanding and people are very helful. It was a wonderful time spent in a heritage mahal.

A good medium budget hotel that provides all basic amenities and is famous among foreign tourists. The hotel is situated in the city which expresses the traditional style of Mewar. The hotel is clean and staff is polite and always ready to serve. Rooms are posh and clean. Room service is good. Anyone would enjoy his or her accommodation here. A good neighborhood which keeps the hotel in a calm and silent place. Anyone would enjoy this place's calmness and peace. The stay here is always memorable. Restaurant is also good.

We had an amazing stay at this heritage property. It's 250 years old Haveli. We got very royal kind of feeling in the royal suite. Staff is kind and polite. Walking distance from the Jagdish temple and City palace. Recommended.

Shree Jagdish Mahal Heritage Hotel has x-excellent rooms. Their staffs are great. Location is very near to all sightseeing of Udaipur. Stayed there for a weeks time and enjoyed. If You are interested in History then this is a great place to stay. Being a 250years old Nagar seth jis haveli we loved to stay more. Hence See YOU soon. Must stay in Udaipur! This stunning building is a highlight of our trip. The owner did a fantastic job with repairing and re adapting and renovation a heritage building. The staff are extremely helpful. I would definitely come back again.

Great experience staying at this hotel!! Staff was very friendly. Got a free upgrade to a better room for both rooms. Food was good and served hot... takes time since it is freshly prepared. Located near to jagadish temple and city palace. Reaching here was the only difficulty faced due to congested lanes. Rest all good!!

Great hospitality ! Amazing food ! Perfect place to stay if you are looking for a heritage hotel. You cannot take your car till the hotel during the day time (10am -8pm) because the streets are very small and crowded . But its only 1km from the main road. So its not much of a problem.

My family and i had a great stay in this hotel. The food was great, location ideal as it is walking distance (5 mins) from City Palace (palace/boat ride), Jagdish temple, lake Pichola etc. There's no car park but the owner is kind enough to inform about this and send his guy in rickshaw to the nearest "government approved car park" which is safe and secure for you to park your car overnight/ till you need it. By the way, this is the same car park you'd have to use of you're going to City Palace, Jagadish temple etc so i didnt have any problem doing it (car park charges- 100 rs/ 12 hrs or 10/hr). The staff in hotel were accommodating, the owner extremely humble. But my favourite part was that architecture within hotel lobby and rooms are just "royal"- apparently it used to be the residence of some official serving the royal family. I haven't stayed in Taj or Oberoi in udaipur but for what i paid, this sure was exotic! So its a 5 star from me!
