Jhumar Restaurant

Right next to the Fateh Sagar Lake in Udaipur, this is a must visit place for lunch. We ordered authentic Rajasthani cuisine as suggested by the restaurant manager & it was simply delicious. Adding to it was the beauty & calmness of Fateh Sagar Lake which made it an enjoyable & memorable lunch for us.

I wish I could explain what I experienced. but it is important to let everyone know what I felt. The ambience and the view was awesome. The view is what you pay for with the food. The food is exceptionally delicious and yes though costlier but no regret.
Service and the team is well mannered and have very warm hospitality.

Must try:
Veg = assorted veg platter ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Non-Veg = mutton junglee ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Madho Singh is an excellent server . I have had him two times while eating in this restaurant. I have enjoyed all of the food. Immensely all of the staff is wonderful the view is excellent. It would be a mistake not to come here.

sagar . We tried and loved every vegetarian recommended dish . Must have are tandoori aloo (starter) , bajre da roti and methi papad (curry) , paan kulfi to end the meal . Ker sangri and gatte ki sabji were also good . Chaas is also recommended if you take traditional food .
Special mention for owner Devi Singhjis recommendations.

The upstairs deck seating has a great view. The food was very good, one of the best meals I had on my 3 week long trip in India.

We ordered the Rajasthani veg thali and the Rajasthani non veg thali and man o man were we impressed. The quantity, quality and taste were absolutely top notch and the service was courteous and helpful. The individual dishes included in the thali were all beautifully prepared. It was our best dining experience in Udaipur!

The restaurant is exactly overlooking the Fateh Sagar Lake and it has some of the best views of the lake. You can enjoy the food looking at the soothing scene of Lake. But make sure that you get the right seats.
Food is the most important thing. The restaurant serves various types of dishes. However we had been here to taste Rajasthani food on specific recommendation.
We had ordered the Rajasthani Thali and we were completely amazed. The Thali contained Dal Bati Churma, Ker Sangri, Gatte ki Sabji, Kadhi, Raita, Saraso da Sag, Lassan ki Chatni and what not. We were served with two different roti in the Thali. The taste was amazing and no compromise was made. The garam Churma gave a different delightful experience. The Thali costs Rs. 600 and serves great experience.
The staff attending us understood our expectations and suggested this Thali. The service was fast. The place requires visit if you are around.

The non-veg thali offers a delightful array of meat dishes that are well-cooked and seasoned to perfection. Loved the lal maas and fish fry.

Great food. We tried laal maad and jungle maas. It was fabulous to say the least. Right next to the lake is a plus. However, the ambience of the restaurant can be improved.

We were looking for good Rajasthani thali in both veg and non veg varieties near Fateh Sagar. Final Jhumar is the place with great ambience and service beside Rani Road facing Fateh Sagar, could fulfill our wish. The warmth in service, food variety, taste, quality all satisfied our heart in the Udaipur trip. I recommend this place.

We came here on our last day and the food and our server Aman was great! They even had live music. You also can’t beat the view
We tried the Jungli Mass which was unique to Udaipur. We highly recommend.

Well one of the restaurant that is must visit if you are nearby Fateh sagar lake. Indeed a must visit for non veg lovers to be specific as it has ample mouthwatering dishes you can’t wait for. Specific mention to Laal Maas that they offer in menu, it’s a must have dish on your table if you are fond of unique non veg dishes. Be it starter or main course do try this. Has also options for veg lovers too but non veg dish has more weight in taste than veg ones for sure. A good view of fateh sagar lake from restaurant and those seats are limited to enjoy the scenic view. So reach 1 hours before the peak lunch time to enjoy that view with the seat facing sea or else they have ample seating in first floor too. Good hotel with nominal prices to enjoy noon and evening with cop breeze.

It is one of the best places to dine, with the view of the Fatehsagar lake. Food is absolutely great, and so is the ambience. There are two levels , better to go on the higher roof top.

We had an excellent lunch with a perfect view of the lake. The veg platter had some unique items. Our server Hari was very friendly and helpful.
