This is a must visit place !! The Speed boating is a great adventure water activity which will cost 236/- per person. Normal boating is also available. Do visit this place in the evening too for amazing sunset views.

This lake is probably the most “Go to” place in the city, because of its convenience and obviously beauty. Try to go there before noon or during sunset, as you’ll have a nice view from there. You can enjoy a nice snack at Bombay bazar.

You can enjoy the view around this lake either by motor boat or slow boat. The fare is same for both the boats, i.e. Rs.460 per head. It's the second largest artificial lake in Udaipur, after Jaisamand. The lake is 2.4 km long, 1.6 km wide, and 11.5 m deep. It has a catchment area of 54 km² and a surface area of 4 km². Maharana Jai Singh constructed the lake in 1678, and it was later reconstructed during the reign of Maharana Fateh Singh (1884-1930). The lake is named after Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur and Mewar.
The lake is surrounded by hills and woods, and its blue waters and setting have earned Udaipur the nickname "The Second Kashmir". The lake has three small islands, three intake channels, and an overflow channel that help regulate water flow during monsoon.
Visitors can take a boat ride on the lake for a fee that varies by nationality. Speed boating is also available, with a 30-minute session from 8 AM–4:30 PM

Fatehsagar Lake is one of the favorite destinations in Udaipur. I recommend visiting in the evening. I completed one round walk around the lake, and it was a wonderful experience in my life, although it took some time. I don't recommend it because only half of the lakeside is active or engaging; the other part is nothing special. Inside the lake, there is a park, which is very little crowded, providing a peaceful atmosphere. You can also avail boat services from the land. Additionally, other small parks are present around the lake, and walking paths are available. It's a must-visit place in Udaipur.

Beautiful fateh sagar lake. We tried speed boat at begining.it brings so much Ander line rush. It was pure bliss. After completing the boat ride. I tried Ice Gola for the first time near by the shop which is situated opposite side of road .It was a delicious one. Thankyou #udaipur for beautiful memories for 2024.

I my opinion it is the most beautiful lake in Udaipur City.I visited there couple of times with friends and done camel riding, boating and also cycling. I recommend to do cycling around the like it is very joyful.

The lake has different vibes, like Mumbai Marine Drive; it's beautiful, surrounded by mountains, clean roads, yummy street food, and I just love the place.

Fateh Sagar Lake, on its own, is massive in size replete with three islands. People normally flock to one end of the lake which is famous for its sunset view, incredible food stalls, and the view of the lake, in general. There are also boat tours to the islands on this artificial lake or just normal sunset rides.

Parking:
Parking is a nightmare in the tourist area, because the roads are narrow and already filled with tourists or locals. You can either park at the far ends of the road but that would mean a walk of 10-15 mins depending on where you are standing/sitting.

Food:
Indulge in delicious local food where you can try the chaats, momos, North Indian fare, South Indian fare, Mumbai-special food, Delhi-special food all on the same stretch of road. The options are aplenty and you can sit wherever you like. Just be wary of restaurant owners trying their best to woo you. Don't fall for their sweet words and sit only where you feel like sitting.

Activities:
Boat rides, horse rides, and camel rides are the norm. However, a walk during the sunset or post-dusk hours is exhilarating. For those who love the local flavor, you will have a beautiful mixture of the locals running around, colorful stalls, the gorgeous lake on one side, and a pleasant breeze blowing by (during non-summer days).
