The two hours spent here was most relaxing, got the steps in too. Lots of photography scope and as an artist, the colours, shapes and patterns are just breathtaking. Clean, calm, civilised, welcoming surroundings. Foreigner ticket of 700 rupees about £7 sterling was definitely worth it. Loved it

Very imposing mosque worth a visit. Following the correct dress code is important to show respect here. Shoes must be left outside and ladies even if dressed modestly are given clean robes to cover up with. It's a very special place and visited by many every day.

Magnificent structure beautiful at every angle. Also set aside some time for a fun tricycle ride through the open market streets nearby as you will be treated to a kaleidoscope of colorful shops where local people shop.

Very good environment. Architecture and design is outstanding. The nearby market is famous for dates, wholesale prices and best quality available. Non-veg lovers have a variety of options to try, very delicious..

If you want to see a historical architecture and local market then this place is for you. I would recommend this place to the foodie out there because you'll get one of the best and delicate non-veg food items near gate no. 1. And on the other side you can visit Mina bazar, one of the oldest local markets in Delhi.

One of Delhi's highlight its a must-see. When you visit this city, its vibrant and also grand. Serene inside and yet crazily noisy outside of this mosque.

It is a good place for prayer 🕌 Entry is free. Take care of your shoes 👟 Do not enter wearing shoes. If you stand on the steps, you can see all the hustle and bustle of the market. From here you can also see Red. The mosque is very beautiful. You will love the architecture .

Beautiful place. Austere, serene, balanced. Gentle atmosphere (though some staff is less than charming). Price of access for foreigners - as usual - is discriminatory and unfair.

Mesmerized by this architectural marvel. Strategic location in Delhi. If you want to go to Chandi Chowk or Meena Bazaar or Delhi 6 eatery junction we can easily go through jama masjid gates. Excellent tourist place open for all.

What beautiful architecture. Really good architecture. Even though the streets are congested, but that is the beauty of jama masjid. The food stalls nearby are heavenly. One of the best Street food places to visit in entire India.

Entry is free. Be mindful of your shoes. Do not enter with your footwear. Don't forget to view Red Fort from here. It's a view to remember. From the main gate, if you stand on the stairs.. you can see all the hustle bustle of the market. The mosque is a beauty. You'll love the architecture. It's visible from nearby places so you won't find it difficult to get here. Enjoy.

It is one of the oldest & most historical mosques in India. This mosque was built in the Mughal period and at that time, it was the imperial mosque of the Mughal emperors.

Now, the place is open for all kinds of people. Everyone can enter here without any ticket. But, before entering the mosque you need to remove the shoes. As, muslim peoples are praying here.

In prayer time, visitors are not allowed to the main mosque area. Other times, everyone can visit the main area.

The ablution is located right in the middle of the mosque.

Very beautiful place to visit in Old Delhi, with plenty of restaurants and food stalls ouside and market for shopping, was a bit crowded in Sunday.
Dont take many luggage as there is no place to keep it you have to carry it inside, there was place to keep your shoes outside no entry fee but 70 rs ticket for going up the rooftop
Visit the place but keep it clean.

Jama Masjid is a unique mosque of Mughal architecture made of red stones and marble. Just 500 meters from Red Fort. At a distance lies the Jama Masjid which is one of the largest mosques in India. The construction of this mosque was started by Shahjahan in 1650. It took 6 years and Rs 10 lakh to build it. Built of sandstone and white marble, this mosque has 3 gates to enter. This mosque is a must-see site for all tourists, entry to which is free. A ticket costs Rs 70 to enter the minaret of this mosque, from where you can get a better view of Jama Masjid and its surrounding area.

Having recently visited Jama Masjid in Delhi, I was left awe-struck by the sheer beauty and historical significance that this iconic monument holds. As a student eager to learn about India's rich heritage, stepping into the courtyard of Jama Masjid felt like taking a step back in time.

The first thing that caught my eye was the breathtaking architecture that defines Jama Masjid. The intricately designed minarets, adorned with delicate carvings and patterns, soared into the sky, giving the monument an air of majesty. Every step I took on the smooth, red sandstone floor only served to magnify the grandeur of this architectural marvel.

Entering the central prayer hall was an experience like no other. The hall's interior boasted a mesmerizing display of intricate artistry and architectural brilliance. The sheer size of the hall, combined with the delicate design elements, left me in awe.

To truly appreciate the beauty of Jama Masjid. The view from the top was nothing short of spectacular! The bustling streets of Delhi sprawled out before me, while the serene ambience of Jama Masjid provided a stark contrast. It was a sight that will forever be etched in my memory.

Jama Masjid isn't just a monument; it's a living testament to India's rich cultural heritage and the enduring legacy of Mughal architecture.

I highly recommend this iconic monument to anyone who wishes to delve into the history and magnificence of India's cultural heritage. e

Can be Too crowded on weekends. So you better avoid if you have already visited. However, a nice place for those who are from outside of Delhi. Aslo, make sure to wear appropriate clothes while visiting.
