Karni Mata Temple, Udaipur

This temple is located on hill. To go there , one need to buy tickets for ropeway. The cost of ropeway is 110 rupees. You can go there by stairs also but stairs are nearly vertical and you will get exhausted while climbing. The view from the top of the temple is really amazing. Try visiting in early morning or at sunset.

The temple was beautiful but it is under construction. For karni mata , you can either go by stairs or through ropeway. I would recommend ropeway because it has lots of stairs and the temple is on the heights. If go through ropeway you have to wait for 10-15 mins. From ropeway, you could also see the whole view of udaipur city. While waiting,you could also have some snacks or food . The place also have lots of food shops and handicrafts shops for visitors.

We took ropeway to the temple, which I think was a huge mistake. The waiting time was around 1.5 hours, it was crowded, we missed the sunset and by the time we reached at top it was already dark. But the night view was also breathtaking. You can see whole city in golden lights. It was very peaceful at the top. Slow winds, aarti sound at the background and watching city view. Beautiful experience. You must visit in sunset time and wait for night view too. This way you can experience both views.

The temple is quite famous amongst Hindus. There is a nice and clean pond at the base known as Doodh Talai. You can either hike to the top using stairs or take the ropeway. Waiting time for ropeway can be 30-60 mins on weekends. Ticket for Ropeway costs 110 bucks to and fro. The temple hilltop is ideal to witness scenic sunsets and panoramic views of the city as well.

A short 10 minute hike to enjoy some of the very beautiful view of the city. A small and very peaceful temple also on the top. You can also reach here by ropeway but if you can climb up then it will be better. You can also find several peacocks in the morning.

This place is outside Udaipur. You can reach the temple either by a 30-minute hike or a cable car, but the cable car had a 2-hour wait, so we opted for the hike. The temple atop the hill offers a panoramic view of Jaipur palace. There are two small cafes offering snacks like maggi, momos, and sodas. It's a nice place to visit.

Best temple with beautiful places around. The view of udaipur from here is awesome Definitely a place to visit if in udaipur. Some construction work as of today is on-going when I visited to make it more beautiful.

Ropeway is convenient way to reach. One advice take general ticket of ropeway not private or separate, just a scam from their end to take extra money.

The beauty definitely enhanced for people who visit in evening .

The only way to reach Karni Mata Mandir is through rope way. We reached at 10 am, on a weekend and waiting time was about 25-30 minutes. Tip: Take the trip in the morning when the crowd is less. The views from rope way are eclectic, the mobile camera cannot do enough justice.

The temple is up a the hill and there's a substantial walk on ancient stairs, if you have touble walking or climbing height, you should reconsider going there. The mandir is very small, the temple complex has been expanded with installations done later in the years. There is a expanse of barricaded area from where you can see the Udaipur main city, the two main lakes opposite each other.

This temple is worth every visit if you’re in Udaipur. The hilltop gives you the amazing view of lakes and city. City Palace and Taj hotel is visible from here. Karni mata temple visit can change your mood and spiritual vibe here is something unique. Ropeway ride is worth to wait with a reasonable rate. A dargaah is also here and situated on higher ground than temple.

A temple is always a divine place to seek mental peace and offer your devotion to the almighty. You can find that in the main temple. But the process of going there is very frustrating and tedious. Ropeway service is not enough for the visitors. One can even have to wait two to three hours. The whole day touring plan could be cancelled for the ropeway insufficiency. Every one says the sunset is beautiful there but you need to wait 2 hours before the sunset then if you are lucky enough u can get a chance in the ropeway to go to the other side. You can get an over priced gift shop at the ticket counter, two playing shops who are fooling people in front of every one's eyes but people are agreeing to be fooled just for boredom. This was the story of going there.
But when you are coming back that side is more pathetic the queue is longer. They will make you settle in a mini market where foods are there, body massager machines are there, icecream, chocolate, paan, even vegan chicken fry shops are also there. You name it they have it. This is a fully planned business strategy you can see. And if you are a mere devotee you will definitely be pissed off by this system.
There is a walking way also to reach the temple but that is not possible to take for everyone.
Mandir authority has taken a very good step to avoid crowds by forbidding selfies but they will allow you to take a photo of Karni Mata. Which very fruitful step I assumed.

One can reach there either by Steep climb through stairs or by taking a ride through udan khatola which charges rs 110 per person for a two way journey. But long waiting on weekends. Only offline tickets.

Visit the temple in the evening for the best sunset view in udaipur. Experience the Rope way was the best thing. You get the best city and lake view from the top. It's a must visit place in udaipur.

I’ve visited this place twice this year. Do try to visit for sunset view and then you can enjoy Evening Aarti as well. Such a peaceful place this is in Udaipur. I love the vibe of this place. Always gives YJHD vibes.

A must visit place in Udaipur, doesn't exactly have to be a devotee to be here. The scenic view on top of the hill, with lake view is mind blowing. I reached here by rope way, the wait was around for 2 hrs, you can reach by steps, which is hardly 25-30 mins of trek. Please go ahead if you have prior experience as the steps are little steep. The best for trek is early morning and for the rope way it's sunset. I really enjoyed my time here. There's no wait while returning, there's a refreshing shop also.

It is a great peaceful place, said to be the khul devi of the warrior clan, the panoramic view of the Pichola lake is amazing, you can experience both sunrise and sunset from there.
Currently the temple is under major renovation.

Good temple and get very good view of udaipur city. Try to reach the top of hill by 5 pm to get view of sunset. But you have to wait for atleast 1hr to get into ropeway and reach top of the hill.

Best in Udaipur. Ticket cost is reasonable and the ropeway service management is quite good. If you are going on a holiday, then waiting time will be approx 1-2 hr but after reaching on top, it will be worth waiting especially at night. While returning you can enjoy games in the waiting area. Overall a good experience.

Take darshan of karni Mata and after that have a fabulous view of entire udaipur city from hill top.
It will be best if you reach there around sun set time.
