I visited AMU Campus for the entrance examination. All the students are so helpful and of friendly nature. They have offered rooms to sit & study as I have reached earlier. The vibes of the Campus are just amazing. Overall it's a very marvelous place

The centenary gate of AMU is one of the latest addition to the special architectural Marvel's of Aligarh Muslim University. It's a replica of Baab e Syed but it's more elegant and charming. The gate is one of the latest attraction of AMU and a must visit place for anyone visiting the campus. The side gates are used for daily routine traffic and the main gate is closed .It is opened on special occasions. The proctorial team is always there to control the traffic. The earlier gate at this place was called as purani chungi gate .Now it is replaced by this huge sandstone gate in 2020.

Centenary gate of Aligarh Muslim University.Its is the main entrance gate of AMU located just opposite to PURANI CHUNGI of Aligarh, before the gate was decorated by white tiles but at present it has been renovated by red sandstone, it's quite fascinating and pretty architect ❤❤❤🫡🫡

It got renamed Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in 1920. With thriving in every aspect; AMU hit another milestone by constricting the Centenary gate to effectively mark the completion of 100 years of being Aligarh Muslim University.

A large gate made up of red sand stone in remark of 100th years of Aligarh Muslim University, inaugurated by vc Tariq Mansoor , it was surrounded by a large greenery...❤❤

Also known as the Gateway of Chungi amongst those who can’t pronounce "Centenary Gate"
This is architectural marvel is a replica of Bab E Syed in remembrance of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan who opened the gates of knowledge to the minorities of India when it was deemed as a luxury for the elite.
To date through these gates students have studied and went on to become Presidents, Prime Ministers, CEO's , social workers and the list goes on.
It is often a scenic and photographic spot amongst the youth, Alumni and visitors of the university

Centenary gate of AMU is eye-catching. It looks like that it is very old one but it's not truth, built around 2-3 years ago in place of old gate. There is no system of ticketing, You can easily pass through this gate and visit university.

To make the 100th anniversary of Aligarh Muslim University memorable the administration gifted this centenary gate to AMU.
This gate is constructed near Purani Chungi area.

Aligarh Muslim University’s centenary celebration (1920-2020), Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, who is serving his second term as Chancellor of AMU, inaugurated the newly constructed centenary gate via an online ceremony on the 17th of October, 2020. It is identical to the main entrance gate known as Bab-e-syed on the other end of the campus. This gate changed the look and of purani chungi and made it an historical landmark of Aligarh.
