One of the best view points i have ever seen. Dangerous but captivating. Situated near the road from Ooty to Gudalur. Must visit place if you are travelling to Ooty through this way.

Wonderful view from the top in every direction. Even spotted a black bear minding its own business (pls don't bother these animals). Decided to visit this place at the last moment as it was right beside the road. It was worth it. There's enough space beside the road to park ur vehicles. Pay the entrance fee of 30₹/head n walk for about 10-15 minutes to reach the spot.

The distance looks too short but in actual it's a small hike. At the end, you have wind blowing from both valleys making it a bit scary to take the last few steps.
Recommend sunset view during the winters where you can see clouds.

If one is a nature lover and interested in a small trek in climbing a small trail to see a scenic view of Pine trees touching the clouds.

Then this place is a must visit, just a few kilometres away from The Pykara Lake.

A bit far from Ooty, but I would say it's worth the distance. Offers spectacular views, and because of the distance, there's usually a lesser crowd compared to the other tourist spots. Requires tickets to be purchased at the entry(costs about 20rs right now). There's usually a strong breeze, so if you're visiting during monsoon, raincoats are better than umbrellas. The viewpoint is a short walk from the ticket counter.

The location is good but far off. In case you wish to go, leave early, will take about two hours from Ooty because of traffic. One can see the plains to far off from the place. Go if you are a nature enthusiast or have plenty of time.

Mesmerizing view from above. Evening timing is best visiting to enjoy the breezy weather. Walking in rain is a best experience, won't even feel it's raining

The view point is beautiful. Surrounded with lush greenary vegetation, In the morning one could get see clouds it's a beautiful scene.

Even more beautiful when no clouds as you can see all the hills with tall pine-trees looks awesome. It's a small trucking about 5mins. Good place to take photos and has to be careful when you take kids. The pillars aren't strong enough to hold too much of weight so be careful.

This is one of the breath taking experience for me in my life. This place is awesome. If you go on cloudy day, it's a beautiful scene, but if you don't find clouds, then it is even more beautiful as you can see all the hill tops from here properly, and it looks awesome. Great place to spend time. But you have to be careful as well as this is him too and steep is very deep. Be careful when you take kids.

A good place to view the surrounding areas. Toilet facilities also avaliable and ample parking space along the road side.

Your trip is incomplete without experiencing the 360degree view from the needle rock. It overlooks the mudumalai reserve forest,Gudalur town and other reserves with amazing skyline, mountain chain and clouds. Don’t miss this view!! You have to hike few meters to reach the view point, there are several points on the hill.
