Jungle Hut

Located in the midst of a Jungle. You will feel that from evening, entire night and for sure in the morning when you will see deer and other animals roaming/resting in the resort. If you get lucky, you may have elephants visiting the resort and most probably very next to the room you are inn... It is advised not to come out of the room at night as you don't know which animal is waiting for you outside.
Food, hospitality is very good. You may play in the pool and go for a safari and tracking too

I recently visited this awesome resort. The location, coupled with the warm hospitality, made the experience memorable. The food was excellent, and the ambiance, surrounded by nature's beauty, added to the overall charm. Highly recommended for those seeking respite from daily mechanical hustle bustle and time with nature along with a delightful culinary experience.

We did not stay but only had our lunch here while visiting Masinagudi. The lunch was delicious. We spotted a lot of deer near the pool. Our friends did bird-watching organised by the resort. Will definitely go back to have the full jungle experience.

I had recently been here for my wedding anniversary..the resort experience was serene and relaxing,surrounded by abundant nature and a picturesque hill view.Wildlife,including deer, boars and langurs, was easily spotted.The spacious room had a delightful aesthetic touch, contributing to our overall enjoyment of the stay.The staff went above and beyond by fulfilling my request for arranging a cake for my anniversary.The strategically located pool offered a scenic view, creating a perfect spot for leisure.The resort provides a diverse range of activities, and the full body massage I received was incredibly satisfying, leaving me grateful to my skilled masseuse.The resort had an extensive array of delicious food options, featuring excellent flavors and delightful homemade items such as jams and pickles. These delectable treats were not available for tasting but also for purchase at a very reasonable price.. Thank you team..😊

This place is just stunning. The views are amazing, and you can even enjoy them from the pool. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, the food is delicious, the rooms are very comfortable. There's lots of activities in offer. It's been a wonderful experience.

We have been going to Jungle Hut since the ‘80’s when it first started and to be honest, this resort had gone from excellent to ABSOLUTELY SUPER EXCELLENT! Everything they have to offer, is great, be it service, food ( both delicious and in abundance ) or ambience. Suberb management and staff.

Jungle Hut is an excellent resort to spend time amidst nature without any boundaries for wild animals. One could see number of deer and birds within resort itself. Rooms are clean with amazing hospitality by staff. One may not have the need to call front desk as they give you all required info upfront. Food options were really good.

One can hire local jeep arranged by resort for main road safari around nearby villages. We could spot elephants, Sambar Deer, Bison etc ..You can also try your luck with government safari if time permits … overall great experience to spend couple of days

The place was peaceful,calming and cool. There was an abundance of space,trees,birds,deer,langurs and wild boar. It was a nature lovers paradise.
All the staff were polite,courteous soft spoken and well trained.Any special requirements were taken care of .The nature walk with Rajesh was a wonderful experience. He could spot and identify birds easily. He carried a powerful binocular with a stand with him and showed us a variety of birds.The safari in the buffer zone is a must do.

We just got back from our trip to Jungle hut and I had to write this review . We had a wonderful time . The place is mesmerising with deers, langurs , Malabar squirrels, wild boars and a variety of birds all around . It truly does justice to its name as we feel we are living right in the midst of the jungle .

Food was very good and tasted just like a home made meal . This was a big plus as usually I crave for home food at the end of a trip but here that didn't happen at all 😊

There are activities like nature walk , road side safari and bird watching that you can do . Spotting animals during road side safari is pure luck . We spotted a couple of elephants and a bear .

The rooms are neat and well maintained . The staff both housekeeping as well as support staff in the dining area and around the resort are exceptional and always willing to help . Special shout out to Jibran for all his guidance and help throughout our stay there .

They also offer body massages which was also a good experience.

All in all, absolutely worth a trip for a complete relaxation amidst nature .

It's a peaceful place, with a stunning view. The food is delicious, the staff is very friendly. You can see wild animals around. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

It’s in a serene location near to Masinagundi, surrounded by lush green jungle and one can visit the place to enjoy the tranquility of mother nature’s work. Property managers are passionate and committed as a host and took good care during my short stay. All the rooms are quite big and functional and equipped with minimalism. The chefs are skilled and prepared appetizing dishes, specifically the Yellow Dal and Rajama which I loved the most. Wildlife lovers will certainly enjoy the company of the birds and animals around. The property is near to Mudumalai National Park where people can go for safari and can experience the jungle vibes. It was a revitalizing experience for me and thank you for your kind-heartedness and warm reception. Will see you soon!!

It was really a nice stay for us with our family. We were skeptical initially as we did not know much about the hotel. The moment we arrived it was a sweet surprise, I really liked the location and calmness of the property. The rooms were neat and clean. For the whole day, we could see spotted deer, grey langurs and Malabar squirrels just in front of our room. The food was excellent and was one of the reasons we extended our stay. They also have a nice and clean open swing pool. Given that there are some rooms for improvement too. For example the game was just a pile of broken things. But as a whole it is a great value for your money you pay if you expect a peaceful and calm stay

We had real jungle experience in jungle hut. We saw deer and white monkeys, wild elephants ,wild big and in our near staying rooms. It was thiriling experience . Food is very good like home kitchen. Food no of items are less but i like that for stomach free food

It’s a beautiful place to be in!! Loved the property, you have elephants, deers, wild boars, bisons walking around in the property as they have no fencing towards the forest. Their buffet spread was really tasty. I did customise a few dishes as per our tastes too. The staff are very welcoming. The rooms are clean and spacious. I would recommend this property over and over again.
Wi-Fi isn’t great I would say. If you are looking at working remotely it’s at stake.
The staff are updated about all safaris and they are very enthusiastic to inform us about any animal sighting so that you could head out with them. It’s a superb place for photography.

One of the few places where I like to visit every year. Food, service is 5/5. Location of the property is what makes it worth every penny.

My journey with birding started at this place a few years ago. It is a heaven for bird watchers.

Had one of the best jungle experience. They have 3 category of rooms, each better than the other. They arrange visits and their hospitality and service is excellent. What really sets them apart are 2 things though.
1. There are deers, monkeys, boars, civets, bisons grazing freely inside the premises.
2. Unlike most other jungle themed stays, they serve the most delicious food!!

Jungle hut is one of the most amazing places i have stayed . Thank you to the friendly staff who were more like family to us during our vacation. There was utmost care taken to attend to our needs and it was home away from home. The food is just out of the world and I have never had such a culinary experience even in 5 star accomodations . We had a very nice stay at Jungle Hut, Masinagudi a few days ago. The resort is in the middle of a jungle. Outside our room, we could see deer grazing, and ocassionally wild boars too !!

The service and food were also excellent.

During the safari they arranged thru Mudhumalai forest, we were fortunate enough to sight a rogue elephant, a herd of elephants, a leopard and bisons apart from the usual sightings like deer, monkeys, peacocks etc.

During a morning bird watching walk, they led us thru the Silver Oak forest which was a nice experience.

Overall, a FANTASTIC trip.

A beautiful place close to the forest. The property always seems to have spotted deer moving around. Sometimes wild hogs are seen too. Langurs and giant red mountain squirrel are also seen. The trek to the nearby small hillock is fun. They say, if lucky, animals can be spotted from there (when we went, it was foggy and we didn't). The walk along the stream nearby is a must do activity. We spotted various birds like fish owl, paradise fly catcher, scarlet minivet among others.

It was a 10/10 on every aspect, best experience with the nature, resort property, cleanliness, excellent food, amazing staff.
Highly recommended.
