Panna Meena ka Kund, right by the big Amber Palace in Jaipur, is this cool, not-so-famous old stepwell that's really worth checking out. Unlike the busy tourist spots in Jaipur, this place is pretty chill and not crowded, making it a nice spot to just hang out and enjoy some quiet. The Kund itself is pretty neat with all its steps going down in a sort of zigzag pattern, which looks awesome for taking pictures or just looking at.

The whole design of the place is super smart, thinking about how folks back in the day figured out a way to store water. Plus, the steps make it look like some kind of ancient puzzle, which is pretty neat to see. It’s peaceful around there, so it’s a good spot to take a break from all the hustle and bustle and maybe cool down a bit.

It's right near Amber Palace, so it’s easy to swing by when you’re checking out the palace. Just a heads up, though, you can’t actually go down the steps into the Kund, but you can get a good look at everything from the side, which is still pretty cool.
So, if you're in Jaipur and hitting up the Amber area, definitely stop by Panna Meena ka Kund.

Panna Meena Kund, a relatively lesser know place to the outsiders, is a stepwell which was built during the rules of the royal family. It is located near to the Amber Palace and it’s an easy 10 minutes walk. What was even more interesting is that the stepwell has recently been painted which makes it look even more beautiful. A must quick stop while in Jaipur for some aesthetic frames and photos.

It's a very old step well located near Amber fort. We drove there and parked the car outside because the road was quite small. When we came back, the car was surrounded by cows and we spent some time there waiting for them to leave. From the place we parked, we walked for about 1-2 mins to reach the place. There were not many people there. We were there at about 5PM and it was still sunny. The step well looked really old and quiet. There was no fence so it was in its original form. It was cool to stay there for a while and enjoy the breeze

Beautiful historical place, peaceful. The stairs look so dangerous. Free entry. If you take a Jeep, the Jeep will stop near this and the driver will ask you to take a view of this place and then move on to the Amber palace.

The stepwell, Panna Meena ka Kund, breathtaking architecture is well worth the addition to the itinerary while in the Pink City of Rajasthan. It is quite a remote stepwell underneath the Amer Fort, built by a eunuch Panna Miah, who was a courtesan of Maharaja Jai Singh. It’s a square stepwell that almost appears like an illusion with the maze of steps!

It's a stepwell that you can reach by walking down from the Amber Palace. It's a quite place and good to relax. You are not allowed to decend the stepwell though for security reasons. Evening would be the best time to visit.

An uncrowded place, which hosts shooting of many Bollywood movies. It is located at a short 10min walk from Amer fort. Many tourists don't visit this place due to which one finds peace and solitude as compared to heavy rush at Amer fort.
It's a 200ft deep well used for water storage during ancient times.
Great place to visit and sightseeing with numerous steps and stairs.

Amer fort. We reached here around the sunset time. And the view and vibes were amazing. It’s totally free of cost anyone can visit here. Since it was getting dark, we were bit confused if really such place existed in the village But locals we’re really helpful. And was lucky to witness such beautiful view and sky.

Old history of this kund is kind of water storage like natural rain water storage, during Mughal era, it was said that rain water used to flow from amer fort to this pond.
