US Visa Application Center (VAC)

We had my cousin’s bio metric appointment here. This visa application center is inside metro station. The staff is so polite and courteous. We reached before time and there was not much crowd so they allowed us to enter early and all the process was completed even before our actual reporting time. They are very proficient and fast in their work.
When you try to access this metro station for visa - the security asks you about your purpose so mention that you want to catch the metro - so you can enter the premise.

It is inside Shivaji Metro Station, you can take Airport Metro line from New Delhi station. Staff was very cooperative. I had my appointment scheduled at 4.15pm but I reached at 2.45 and they accommodated me. It took only 20 minutes. Take your passport, appointment letter and DS 160 printout with you. Bags are allowed but it should not have laptop or earpods. Mobile is allowed inside in switch off mode. there were some lockers but I haven't used them so couldn't comment on that.
p.s. Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is only 5 minutes walk from here.

Extremely happy with service of the staff. Very friendly and cooperative people. If there is no much crowd, they let you in for the biometric before your scheduled time. Got the biometric process done within no time.

Please note the following information about getting your US Visa Biometric done at the Delhi Visa Application Centre (VAC):

When you arrive, you may be surprised to find that the Visa Application Centre and the Metro share the same location. The Visa Center is at the Concourse level.

You don't need to dress too formally, just wear normal attire.

You will be allowed to enter the VAC at the scheduled time or maybe half an hour before.

You can only carry your mobile phone in a switched-off state, no other electronic devices are allowed.

When you enter, you will need to show your DS160 form, confirmation printouts, and the latest passport only. No other documents are needed for Biometric.

Your forms will be checked in a queue outside the VAC. After the initial verification, you will need to join another queue to get into the VAC for Biometric. Inside, your documents will be checked again before you are given a token and asked to join another queue for Biometric.

At the Biometric desk, you will be asked your Name and Date of Birth. They will stamp your DS160 form, and you will be ready for the Consulate appointment.

All the staff at the VAC are Indians, so there's no need to worry. That's all!

Whole process is smooth..Come 30 mins before your appointment time so that you don't have to wait for long. Staff is very cooperative and they always ready to help

The place is clean and comfortable. If you are lucky like me, you'll find less crowd. Functional AC, washrooms on the same floor and limited sitting area on the same floor is available. Try and reach a little, 15-20 mins before your scheduled appointment time. You are not allowed to carry earphones inside, you can carry a small bag with cash, cards, etc and switched off phone. Better to not carry anything else with you. (Though there is a hourly basis paid storage facility available, for general public).
The entire process is pretty smooth. I was out after the biometrics within 15 min of entering. Staff are supporting and helpful, clear and detailed in instructions.

I visited this metro station for my US visa related work. Inside this station there is US Visa Application Centre. Inside US VAC they will take your fingerprint, face photo and will put a stamp on the back of your passport.
For Convenience of people might reading this review, My appointment was scheduled for 11.20 AM but i reached there at 10.30 AM and waited for no time at all direct stand in line no matter your time slot (but don't be there too early like 2-3 hours before). Inside the VAC you can take your smartphone inside (but it must be switched off). Take your documents in a transparent bag (not necessary here). In VAC you don't need to take lot of documents just carry your DS-160 print out, Page of appointment where VAC appointment is clearly mentioned ( PDF of Appointment letter has many pages but only print those where appointment is clearly mentioned). Overall My Experience was super smooth and only took may be 10 minutes to do US VAC work. NOTE: These documents that i have discussed is only for B1/B2 Visa and i don't know about others types. Reaching there is easy, it's also inside metro station so there will be parking but not so big.
This US VAC also serves for passport pickup for those who opted pickup option rather than home delivery.

US Visa Biometrics Experience at Delhi

Today I completed my biometrics process and I wanted to share my experience with you.

Upon arrival, the process began with a check of the appointment confirmation page, DS 160 form, and passport. They carefully verified the accuracy of names and passport details.

After the initial check, there was a security screening where they requested everyone to switch off their mobile phones.

Following the security check, another counter they reverified the documents and a sticker was placed on my passport.

Next counter take a token and next step involved finger scanning and taking a photo.

Finally, with all biometrics completed, I received well wishes for the upcoming visa interview.

One noteworthy point is that if the crowd is minimal, they may allow you in for any time slot within your scheduled appointment window, making the overall experience more efficient.

Highly impressed with the efficiency of the OFC centre. Detailing my experience:
I reached the shivaji stadium metro station and took the elevator down to the concourse level. My appointment was at 12:15 pm but a guard said I could enter the OFC centre earlier. There were 2 staff members who were going through the documents of everyone to make sure it’s in order before letting us in. They checked our current passport, DS-160 form and appointment letter. Please don’t panic as we generally go with a lot of paperwork and are hassled to find the right paper in time. They are patient, helpful and smiling all the time. The staff then verified the form and appointment numbers and let us go further where 2 security guards checked the verification done by the previous staff members. After letting us in men and women are frisked separately. Bags and phones were allowed inside. Had to keep mobile in off or airplane mode. Our passports were asked at first counter then verified again with the DS-160 form and then with their list of applicants. Our passports were given back to us wit a sticker each at the back. We then headed to the numbered counters were we were asked to give our passports again, our names purpose of visit and whom are we travelling with. Then biometrics were done (face scan n fingerprints). She wished us luck gave our passports back and we were told to exit. The entire process took about 15 mins.

6. No need to take any original with you for Dropbox except old & new passport.

Quick and fast.

The appointment was scheduled for 3.30 but I reached there around 2pm due to my flight timings .
Since there was not much queue I was allowed to stand in the queue.

Everything was fast . In and out in some 15min .

Mobile phones are allowed but should be turned off.

Well organised centre. Our appointment was at 9.30 am, we reached there by 8.30am , everything was smooth, we were out by 9.30am.

We did not take our 2yr old to biometry. We just carried her ds160 , Passport, and 2inch x 2inch photo with us. That was accepted.
If your ds160 is recently updated, take your old ds 160, new ds 160 with you. Inform them.
If there is any mistake in the visa consular appointment form inform them about it. They will update it. It will take 48hrs to reflect in your appointment form. (They told us)
Family/ Group application, every individual needs separate ds 160 form. One consular appointment confirmation form will be sufficient.
Verify your new ds160 number on the back of your passport once all the process is done. Just to be sure.
Mask is not mandatory. Transparent file is not mandatory. The staff were very patient and helpful.

Right near the exit door (Where you drop the coin or by smart card) at shivaji stadium metro station. Appointment is first come first serve but only around your scheduled appointment time.

This place is located inside Sivaji metro station.
There you can find the visa application centre for many countries like China ,Greece ,USA.
We had biometric capture for the USA.

This visa application centre work from monday to Sunday. Timing on Sunday is only from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For rest of the day is it is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The experience was quite smooth the one thing you should keep in mind when you are going for the biometric thing is that you have to carry only few documents like a confirmation letter and your passport.

It hardly took 30 minutes for us to verify the documents and submit our impressions of fingerprint.

Attendance can go with the person, mobile se allowed on the only thing is keep it switched off.

This is located on the concourse level of Shivaji Stadium Metro Station. Very clean and secure. No issue if you are accompanied with someone, there is a good amount of waiting/sitting area outside. You can carry your wallet and mobile phone (switched off) inside. Other than US, China, Greece, Malasiya, Turkiye and Canada VAC is also there.

Important Points:
1. There is no problem what time is your VAC appointment is scheduled, you can reach any-time on that day, just be in line, and they will allow you to inside after document check.
2. Document as in (a) Passport, (b) Confirmation letter, (c) DS-160 form.
3. The DS-160 number should match with the number in confirmation letter. If there are any correction in the old one, please do carry old & latest DS-160.

Inside, there will be a line which is to confirm that you have arrived, the person will tick on your name and later you will get a token number for next counter to give your biometrics.

That's all. Best wishes. One of the most easiest process.

Got the biometric done before the alloted time. Took like 10min, from getting in the queue to submitting ds160, appointment, passport, verifying, getting pic clicks and finger prints. Mobile phones has to be switched off while you are in. Staff is supportive as well

Everything was smooth for me. For 8:30 am appointment, I was called into the queue at 8:00 am.

Two security folks checked my docs, once while getting into the queue and once while entering the main door. They were trained to check for latest DS-160 and visa type match with the appointment details. Only docs needed - Passport, DS-160 confirmation and Appointment details.

Mobile phone is allowed if switched off. Laptops not allowed. Documents, wallet, specs allowed. It seems there are locker facilities but I didn't have to use any.

I was in and out in less than 10 mins. Fingerprints, photo and document check done. A bar code was pasted at the back of the passport. DS-160 confirmation was stamped with the date. And then returned to me.

My visa interview is scheduled a week later. It was confirmed that a gap of a week is not an issue at all.

It was my second visit. Experience was good at first time in crowded situation.
This time everything went smoothly due to low number of applicants. But I have faced little trouble due airpods as they didn't allow me to take that inside in my bagpack.
Unfortunately there is no locker system to keep personal belongings outside the VAC like embassy.

I would suggest everyone, please bring only mobile phone and necessary documents if you are going to USA VAC and Embassy.

Posting something which may be helpful for parents with small kids: Children less than 14 year old are not needed in person. At VAC, you just need to bring the passport, DS 160, appointment confirmation letter along with a 2 inch*2 inch US Visa specification photo. Keep a soft copy of your kids photograph so that even if there is a problem with the existing photo, you can get a printout from nearby available photo shops.

5000 rupees for the new DS160 really!!!
This is what I asked to a person next to me in a queue.
His DS160 was more than 12 months old so he had to get new. He went to a local shop and they charged him 5000 rupees.

So the conclusion is, please check if your DS160 is more than 12 months old, if so get new DS160 that is 10 min job, you can get vedio how to do this, here is one link I found in YouTube
