Amazing geography and architecture, the temple is set in between the mountains. Vibe is immaculate - people singing and playing music and swimming in the holy water.
Great place to see and feed monkeys (they're Macaques). Paid entry and you can get a guide. It was also very cool here as the breeze flows between the mountains.
Note that the monkeys are given so many bananas that they sometimes won't eat them. Our guide used salty chips, which the monkeys loved.

The place is very beautiful and quiet. The old buildings are renovated but still there is a scope for cleanliness. The water in the pond is clear but the around area is not that cleaned. Children take bath in it and people wash their clothes.
The temple uphill is the oldest temple of Lord Hanuman. Many people come to this temple often. And there are other temples also.
There is some trekking area also uphill side.

This was one of my favorite sights in Jaipur!
We came early in the morning at sunrise and it was a magical experience. We were the only tourists and it was a magnificent sight. The sunrise was beautiful and the swarm of monkeys that suddenly came was cool. The monkeys were adorable and very playful. I can recommend this place to anyone that want a great experience!
The cost is 50 INR for each camera you bring. Same price for foreigners as for locals.
Word of warning: The locals will try to get you into their shrines there is scattered around and then pressure you for money.

The monkeys here for the most part are very friendly. They may climb on you to get food so only carry small amounts in hand at a time. Peanuts are sold outside the temple and right before the entrance. You will typically be asked for an offering to see the different shrines within the temple, 50-100 rupees for each of the 6 or so shrines is enough, but you can of course give more if you wish. View from the highest shrine is very nice, and if you're short on time they will bring you up on a bike which will save you the hike time. In the first main pool try to catch the monkeys doing cannonballs from the roof down into the water.

The whole place has a very nice vibe. This is one of the temples in Galtaji complex. There are two ways to reach here, one is the trek and the other is where the cars can reach. I trekked on my way up and called my auto guy on the other entrance. The way is nice but full of monkeys. They won't harm you or even come in your way unless you have food in your hand.
Since I was alone doing this, I stumbled upon a few creepy men passing comments like one guy just said I love you passing me by 😂
Otherwise people along the way were friendly, making sure if incase was scared of monkeys and needed help.

The Hanuman Ji Temple aka Monkey Temple is a very impressive looking building built into a cliff face with a water pool at the bottom of the cliff. As soon as you see it, it’s like a scene out of an Indiana Jones movie.

The temple itself isn’t 5 stars, but it’s very picturesque temple to visit and the trek to get there is very enjoyable. So plus one for that.

It is a veru big temple. You must hike to reach it. Better if you have guide to tell you the history as well as protect you from animals such as monkeys and dogs. You should go in the morning, so you can see citizen worship to Hanoman Lord. They showering themselves first before entering main temple

Wow! Amazing place with such a beautiful vibe and sorroundings. We came at 4pm and was perfect because of the colors of the sunset and the amount of people.

There was an entrance fee of 50 rupees.

Many monkeys and other animals. I just love this place!

A pre-historic Hindu pilgrimage site, the Galtaji Temple, is located only 10km away from Jaipur. One of the jewels of Jaipur, the temple complex encompasses natural fresh water springs and 7 holy 'kunds' or water tanks. Among these kunds, the 'Galta Kund', is the holiest one and is believed to never get dry. A spring of pure water flows from the 'Gaumukh', a rock shaped like a cow's head, into the tanks. A spectacular structure, this magnificent temple is built in pink sandstone, amidst low hills, and is structured to look more like a palace or 'haveli' than a traditional temple. The Galta Monkey Temple has a back-drop of gorgeous landscape featuring lush green vegetation, and offers a fascinating view of the city of Jaipur. This temple is famous for the many tribes of monkeys that dwell in this area. The religious hymns and chants, combined with the natural setting, provide a peaceful ambience for anyone who visits there.

🐘Galtaji
**********************
Galtaji is an ancient Hindu pilgrimage site in the town of Khania-Balaji, about 10 km away from Jaipur, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The site consists of a series of temples built in to a narrow crevice in the ring of hills that surrounds Jaipur. A natural spring emerges high on the hill and flows downward, filling a series of sacred kunds (water tanks) in which pilgrims bathe. The visitor or pilgrim ascends the crevasse, continuing past the highest water pool to a hilltop temple from which a magnificent view of Jaipur and its fortifications spreads out across the valley floor. It is believed that a Saint named Galav lived here, practiced meditation, and did penance

The most amazing site - a Hindu pilgrimage site built into rock with a series of pools from a natural spring. People go to swim or to feed all the sacred monkeys that call the temple home. Highly recommend

This is an awesome place to visit.
Should visit before sunrise and hike to the mountain to see the sunrise.
All the mountain ranges will be visible when the blue hour ends.
Trekking is worth for the views.
You can see plenty of monkeys.
You can take bath in the ponds.
Return journey will be difficult if you don't have a car.
Mobile range is very less and it's difficult to book ola or uber

Beautiful place. The walk is quite long so make sure to wear proper shoes, lots of monkeys, some of them are aggressive. I’d recommend hiring a tour guide if you plan to feed them.

Really nice experience. You have to come at the morning 8-9am or at the evening 5-7 due in this time there is most monkeys. Some of them even jumping you on the head ... They will try to take your food if you have some.
