The Basis Creek Viewpoint Park is an excellent place for a short outing, either alone, or with friends and family. Situated just by the side of Ghodbunder Road connecting Thane (West) to Dahisar and Borivili, the park has a very clean Riverside space where you can walk, sit, take photos and selfies. There are two restaurants - one at the shore which serves excellent freshly prepared food including Chinese cuisine and hot (like tea and coffee) and cold drinks. The second one is a floating restaurant which also doubles as a river cruise.
I've visited on Sunday evening, and there was a fairly big crowd there. The only negative point which I faced is parking a car is difficult as there was no earmarked Car Parking Place.

The Balasaheb thackeray chowpati is closed as of now, however the view is amazing 👏 and cleaning is beyond expectations..
