Mumbra Devi Temple is at height of 210 metres above sea level. The entrance of temple is walkable from Mumbra Railway station. It takes approx 700-800 steps to reach to the top. Once you reach you will see a beautiful temple along with it the relaxation of the beautiful view. There is no other means of transport other than climbing by steps so be prepared if you are planning a visit here.

Mumbra Devi, beautiful Devi Temple located beyond Thane. One has to climb multiple stairs to reach here. The stairs are also very big so it gets really tiring to reach. But the emotion post reaching just makes you forget all the tiredness. Even the view from the temple is breathtaking.

Amazing place for a 1 day trip. Moderately difficult but short trek. Steps are steep so elderly folks will require more time. Guard Rails through out. Please keep the area clean if you visit

Approx .5 km from mumbra railway station, in which there will be approx 700 stairs you need to climb.
In the starting the stairs are not equal but they are in the same height once you cross the highway. The temple premises is neat and clean and not that crowded. Even I visited Chaitra navratra but not many people I saw. You can find a bench to sit and rest at every 100 stairs. Not many shops while climbing so make sure you carry water along

It’s absolutely divine and peaceful up there. There’s a small trek to reach maa Mumbra I exactly don’t know how much distance it was coz it was planned all of sudden. It’s a beautiful small trek with an astonishing view. Didn’t take the photos and videos up there as there were restrictions and I didn’t wanted to take any kinda photos and videos coz I wanted to live in that moment and just wanted to pray for everyone’s well-being!! Jai maa Mumbra !! Jai Mara Di!!

Located atop a hill in Mumbra. It is dedicated to Mumbra devi. The best time to visit is during the early morning. Avoid going during the afternoon as the climb is exhausting. There are around 70-80 stairs. There are chairs located between the stairs for resting. The view from the temple is mesmerizing. The best time to visit is during the monsoon and early morning. The temple is crowded during special occasions like Diwali.

Tip- Take a bottle of water with you, to drink water during the climb.
There is also water available for drinking in the temple.

Divine place to visit,
You need to come out of mumbra station near the ticket counter there is a gate to climb up to the temple.
There are 635 staircases. Recently they had renovated the staircases are made in such a way it's easy for you to climb.

Do attend Aarti which happens 2 times a day.

In the morning 11 am & in the evening 6 pm.

Mumbra devi temple is situated at the elevation of 650ft above sea level...The way to the temple has stairs and can make breathing hard...It chokes as one keeps on climbing...It takes an average 25 minutes to reach to the top and half the time to descend.
The view from the up top is splendid and awe-amazing...One can see the giant ulhas river, mumbai local, the slums, parsik hills and wide area surrounding it....It's really a good visit....

Temple is situated in Mumbra Hills. Temple open from 7am-7pm. There is no parking space available at start of temple steps.....so better visit through local transport. Start your journey accordingly so that you reach before 5pm near the start of temple steps. It takes approximately 25 to 45 mins to climb up depending upon person to person. Be careful while climbing up and coming down since there are no proper stairs only stones you may get yourself injured. You will be gasping for breath while going up as the steps are steep. Before starting take snacks or water along if required, from the store below. Dont litter as there are dustbins available on the way. There are 745 steps as said by pujari of the temple. Climb slowly and take breaks while going up and coming down. Take special precautions while coming down the steps are steep and chances of falling down are high. You may feel tempted to rush down but it is dangerous. Many suggests monsoon is best time to visit as the view is full of greenery but mind you it is the most dangerous time as the steps or stones whatever you call, become slippery due to rains. I would not prefer to go during monsoon though the view from the top is beautiful.
Temple repairs and steps building have been started in March 2018 but will take time to complete. Beware of insects and snakes while climbing...I spotted one passing into the jungle through steps....though it was a small one. Visiting late in the evening can be troublesome as mosquitoes are a big problem....also flies. Plan accordingly that you come down after visitng temple before sunset. There no such guards who will stop you from entering temple......even late visitors are given darshan but better to come down before sunset. The view from the top is simply superb which you can enjoy more during daytime. Dont go in the afternoon too hectic and hot to climb up. Early morning or late evening are the best time to go.
