This is a nice picnic place known for 800+ year old Baniyan tree spread over 3 acres.

There are Historic temples, a Library, Museums, bird parks, reptiles and deer parks.

Food is allowed inside, we can get food from home when we come. This place reminds of old days, when family and friends used to cook food, go to a picnic place, sit on the ground and eat food together.

Other than the huge Banyan tree do not miss the District Museum. Some Sculptural gems from the glorious history of Telangana can be found here.
Had an enlightening day, with a lot of learning while seeing the outdoor and indoor artefacts, in the Museum. There is a publication cell where you might find books on historical sites useful for college students.

Pillalamarri with its mini zoo & small museum is a magical experience, especially during the monsoon with gentle drizzles. The lush green surroundings come alive, creating an enchanting atmosphere. Our visit was made even more special as we practically had the place to ourselves, which allowed us to immerse in nature's tranquility. The mini zoo and museum are good, offering insights into local wildlife and history. A serene and memorable outing indeed! 😊🌿🦓🌧 #Pillalamarri #MonsoonMagic #NatureEscape

This banyan tree is huge and mind blowing. It was an amazing site to see such a huge and gigantic tree with its branches being rooted for so many centuries. We were shell shocked to see such a majestic tree, which has survived and still surviving. Unfortunately we were not allowed to touch and feel the tree or see it from a close distance, because the authority has taken some precautionary steps to prevent the tree being spoiled by some mischievous people, who instead of ailing such an amusing nature's gift, cause damage to such valuable treasure.

Giant Banyan tree aged about 800 years is popularly known as 'Pillala Marri' spread over 32 acres and being well protected by the Government. This is a huge attraction for tourists and can easily spend 2-3 hours.
Highly recommended for a weekend getaway

Good open place for passing time ⏲ and to relax. The Banyan tree 🌳 itself is 800 yrs old so its being restored. The aerial roots (udalu in Telugu) are spread over acres of land of one main tree. The view and feel of such majestic tree is amazing.

There is a museum, a temple, a dargah, a zoo & deer park and a children's park constructed along with this for day time camping and picnic with family and friends.

The whole place is very clean and neatly maintained. Kids can play happily all around and they'll enjoy the wildlife in the region.

The temple there acts as a display for centuries old ruins from all around India. There are stones brought from various timelines and given with details. Thats such a delight to see so many hundreds of years old.

Good place to hangout. Especially the mini zoo. The tree per se is inaccessible… cause we the tourists have the tendency to spoil everything. One has to view the tree from the view point erected. There is a very old temple in the complex which is another highlight. Zoo opens at 0930h

Very nice to see animals in their natural habitat right beside caged domestic and wild animals. Saw fewer snakes here than I did at family parties, very disappointed. Couldn't find mother branch of Banyan tree but saw other branches.

Five stars to the place
Unfortunately now the place where the pillala marri situated is restricted for public but yeah the authorities can't help than do that as the civic sense among people is near zero.

Other than that the other complaint I had is for the disastrous maintenance of animals in the mini zoo.

But five stars because of the place so that more people visit it and more revenue helps the authorities maintain it well

About two hours drive from Hyderabad, this place is famous for the 800-year old banyan tree and the musoleum of a Sufi saint that rests under the shadow of this tree. Nice location for a quick picnic or family outing, but the biggest drawback is the lack of a proper washroom in the vicinity. Drink less water :)

Huge banyan tree said to be 700 years old. Spread over a very large area. You will get shocked to see it’s spread. At least I have not seen such big tree o my life so far. Peaceful, clean and well maintained place. Ample car parking space, not felt so crowded, saw a few families. No restaurant or food joints, small Tea shops. From the main road it’s some 5 kms inside. Looks like not much publicised. A few small temples in the premises. But main attraction is this saint tree.

Very warm and pleasant place to relax ourselves in mother nature. Though we must take initiative not to leave our garbage behind to protect whatever left of the iconic place in palamuru (MBNR).
