Rio Resort Lansdowne Uttrakhand

Love this place. Have been here more than 4-5 times. If you are staying then do go for cottage. Then it will be worth staying here. The rooms are neat, food is tasty and staff is very humble and nice. We have been there multiple times and seems like April, march and June is good time to be here. Once we visited in July and it was raining heavily which spoiled our trip. April and march around was good.

I stayed with my family for 3 days and 2 nights, the stay was very comfortable. The service was good and the food was delicious. The location was also good but far away from Lansdowne city. The only negative part of the stay was that hotel Management staff was money minded. For every service they have non negotiable very high charges. I had taken services like an extra bed and heater which was quite expensive. But the overall experience was very good.

Ds place is a bliss bcs of its location of being at the river bank......u can sit there and enjoy time with family..... It's not a resort but rather a 3 floor small hotel with 4 rooms on each floor ....basic amenities are available and staff is helpful

Mr Sikander resort supervisor is highly appreciated and cooperative nature. Provided excellent service and guidance for local sightseeing as well.

We stayed in river side cottages and they were great. The size is not too large but good enough. The property is not brand new but not even too old and hygiene was good. Indian food options were also very good and reasonably priced. They arranged for a bonfire as well on a short notice. Service was also decent considering it's a large property. The staff also heated up some of the food we were carrying for the baby. The river is very shallow which takes away a bit from the traditional riverside experience but then this lets you go in the river which isn't possible with deep rivers.
Overall a nice place with good staff and management. Location is around 45 min drive from Lansdown so you end up staying at a lower altitude but that's a price you need to pay if you want a river side property in this area.

We have been there in June and it was a wonderful stay.Very good staff, delicious food at affordable cost, nice viewpoint, very clean and well maintained property. We enjoyed our stay there. If anyone planning, prefer to book wooden cottage, it will give you very good nature view in the morning and evening.

The best resort I have ever visit, the view is just beautiful and all the famous visiting places are near to Rio Resort. Highly recommended to visit at least once and you will definitely come again.

Amazing place to be in lansdowne. The wooden cottage next to canal is fantastic. All you hear is the sound of water and birds in the cottage. The rooms are well maintained. The food also tasted very good

One thing to mention. In winters the wooden cottage gets very cold in night. So don’t forget to ask for extra blankets.

It's a good place if we want a peaceful get away from delhi, around 5-6 hrs drive from delhi but totally worth it! The food at the hotel was tasty, although chinese items could be improved. Breakfast menu can also be improved as we were served almost the same dishes for 2 days, which is kind of a bummer. Otherwise the stay was good, the soothing sound of flowing water gives peace, great place to enjoy with family and friends. If you dont want much of a hill view then this resort is for you, if you want to have a typical hill view or a hill station vibe, there are various other hotels above it as it is 20 kms from lansdowne and at the base of the hill. Staff and service was good. Rooms were also cleaned, blankets and pillow covers were an issue but they got it changed so that was rectified. In all had an amazing stay here! Must visit! fully recommended.

A perfect getaway place. The venue aesthetics are pleasing to the eyes. The staff of this resort is very polite and helpful but what we LOVED was the riverside scenery and food. Everything we ate in our 3-day stay at this place was good so perfectly, really matching the Delhi food taste in fact better. Since the flow of the river is so little, you can spend time inside it and perfect for shoots, if you want. No worries about the hygiene of the room, everything was perfect. I will defiantly recommend this place.

Me and my family stayed at this property during March 2023. The property is at a very nice location and is overall well maintained. The staff is good and helpful in every way. The in house food is good and tasty. Overall , a wonderful stay with my family.

One of the best vacation experience we had with Rio resort in 2021, it has wonderful architectural design of wooden made cottages with mind boggling view of river and mountains that too they serve amazing tea to sip and enjoy while witnessing nature.
The staff is very cooperative and the food is also nice.
The only thing which we miss was that they should offer some sort of activities in the resort to enhance overall experience.
But I really recommend the resort if someone travel to Lansdowne.

Reaching the resort is a mini adventure in itself, but it was great!
We encountered a rain right when we were going down the hill to the resort which made it adventurous just to reach there but it is a great place nonetheless.
View is great, prices are reasonable, rooms are spacious and food is decent as well. Great stay!!

Beautiful location of the property. Mountains, valley and river all in one place.

Clean and spacious rooms. Resort offers good and tasty food. Staff was cordial and helpful.

DJ room with ample space.

Various outdoor activities like badminton, rides, and indoor activities like carom, small TT , Ludo, etc. were available for complete family outing.

I had visited this resort with my family in march 2023 for two nights at riverview cottage room and the experience was wonderful. Booking was hassle free, the location on riverside was awesome, food was good and the staff behaviour was courteous enough..Whenever Lansdowne trip is planned i would recommend others to stay at this resort only.

Rooms were clean and well-maintained. The resort is situated at the banks of a river. You can have the mountain view as well as the river view from the balconies.
Then you can sit in groups at the river side, have camp-fire and whatever you want. We had gone in October 3rd week and it was a bit cold but pleasant weather in evening. Peoples were relaxing there, having dinner/drinks/camp-fire etc. The pleasant weather and the sound of flowing river is magnificent.
In day time, you can also go to river, and enjoy being in water. We used to lie down in the river for hours and relax.

The place is just amazing.. beautiful ambience totally worth the price you pay..
And the food is just so so delicious from buffet breakfast to any ala carte meal, its at very nominal price and tasty..
I went with my family and loved everybit of my stay.
