108 Vinayagar Temple's old name or another name was Nanmai Tharum Vinayagar Kovil. In this temple 108 idols of Vinayagar Statues is there. And a Huge Vinayagar Statue named MAHA SANGADAHARA CHATHURTHI VINAYAGAR in 32 feets of height with 130 Tonnes of weight in a single stone. Many peoples are misunderstanding as 108 feet vinayagar statue only idols was 108. Idols of Shivan is also there. In this Temple, Every month celebrating shiva rathiri, sangada chathurthi. And Yearly once celebrating Maha Shiva Rathiri, Vinayagar Chathurthi and Karthigai too. This Temple is located near a lake named as Gopala Karai/Samuthiram. Originally named after freedom fighter Virupatchi Gopala Naickar. One year back every month on Ammavasai Day Dharpan was done. Due to some reasons dharpan giving event was stopped. Although good place for Walking and doing some basic exercises for all aged persons. Located in center of the city. Less than a 1 km was distance from the Dindigul Bus Stand.

Huge Ganesha, carved out of a single rock. Just sitting here in a road side temple with no big fuss about it. Had it been England, there would be road signs from every direction from 100 miles away and a £20 ticket to see this huge structure. Well worth a visit if you are in Dindigul.
