Mazar Sayedi Khanjipeer Saheb.

It is a religious place dedicated to the Dawoodi Bohra community of the Muslim religion. A very serene and peaceful place in the heart of Udaipur. Must visit if you are opting for tranquility in the chaos of the city.

Went there because the driver told us to do it. Normally it shall be ilegal but everything is possible in India, so after giving a small tip to the guy in the entrance who didnt speak a word of English went there for a walk.

It was really nice. Great buildings for their kinds these Indians built.

Khanji Pheer sahab

Khanji Bhai Pheerji Bhai/ Khanji Pheer/khanjipeer was a spiritual and religious scholar and saint of Dawoodi Bohra Shia sect of Islam. He was born and brought up in Udaipur, though the date of his birth is not confirmed but it is believed to be in late 15th or early 16th century.
Dawoodi Bohras of Udaipur will remember their spiritual scholar and saint Khanji Pheer on  315th Urs (day of death) on 2nd Muharram 1432 Hijri which will fall on 8th December 2010. Because of the start of the month of Muharram which has its own religious significance as it is also the first month of Islamic Calendar, every year Urs is organized on 1st of Muharram. This year it is on 7th December 2010.

Khanji Bhai Pheerji Bhai/ Khanji Pheer/khanjipeer was a spiritual and religious scholar and saint of Dawoodi Bohra Shia sect of Islam. He was born and brought up in Udaipur, though the date of his birth is not confirmed but it is believed to be in late 15th or early 16th century. Family of Khanji Pheer  settled in Udaipur, coming from Gujarat in somewhere soon after the historic date of Udaipur’s establishment by Maharana Uday Singh.

He was awarded with the title of Saheb-e-Hiqmatul-Marefat (master of religious philosophy and mysticism) because of his incredible knowledge in spirituality. He was religious teacher of 7 Bohra Dais( Spiritual Leaders). Khanji Pheer had stayed in Ahmedabad for 30 years to take higher education in Islamic philosophy, jurisprudence and history.
