YAGANTI Temple - have very much inspired to see this Yaganti temple. It is almost inside the mountains. Very good temple and we have to take bath in the temple tank. Nice carvings and gruha. There are three caves. Food / lunch available free by Arya Vysya

(Visited in September 2019) - Uma Maheswara Swamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva was built by Bukka Raya I of Sangam Vijayanagara Empire. The most striking feature of the temple is it's Stone Nandi, on which many legends are based. However, the temple seems to be a bit disorganised & I can't understand why just the Darshan of the Lord requires a ticket! Apart from that, it's very pleasent.

A Wonderful temple in between the hills with greenery and koneru which will be visual wonder for nature lovers. Vehicle fee need to be paid before entering the temple area and parking is available inside. Small temples will be there for which we need to climb height steps. Koneru is very good where we can find water coming out from the Nandi statue and we are allowed to bath there. Basavanna statue is very famous where you can know about the thing which is going to happen by the end of this KALIYUGA. Darshan ticket need to be purchased and aakashadeepam can be viewed.

Beautiful temple... Can't see this kind of temple anywhere. 50 kms from NH44 Bangalore to Hyderabad. Single road from highway to temple..Some stretch is with pot holes .. 1.30 hrs to reach temple from highway. 3 caves temples located here. Bit difficult to enter into cave temple due to steep steps.Ahagaya(sky) jothi is highlight. Very old siva temple . There is no good hotels , so plan accordingly

Yaganti is famous for the Sri Yaganti Uma Maheswara Swamy Temple. It was constructed by the first Vijayanagara Sangama King Harihara Bukka Rayalu in the 15th century.

The temple is in Kurnool District in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

The devotees here believe that the Nandi idol in front of the temple is continuously increasing its size.

It's heard from the locals that the idol was initially very smaller than its present size.
