Great place. I love everything about this place. Most importantly I love Maria Fatima, to renovate such a huge house is truly legendary. I am huge fan of her.

Rooms are beautiful, it is quiet place. Everyone is very helpful.

Went there for a guided tour... very well informed, managed and professionally cared for, good to know that a large slice of Goan history is so easily available to those interested... Kudos to the family and the management and staff...the rooms too look very inviting with all the modern amenities. Definitely worth a visit and a stay.

I grew up in my childhood just down the road from here and any trip to Loutulim is full of nostalgia.

I have visited the Figueiredo Mansion a couple of times before for a tour around their house, but this time I had booked us in for a culinary experience along with the tour.

Dona Fatima, the current owner of the house and our host, was super friendly and courteous to us and to accommodate our food preferences all along the way. She also personally took us around her ancestral house and her explanation and communication was exemplary. We had a great time interacting with her and finding out all about her family, her ancestry, her house and also about my beloved Loutulim.

The food menu and the preparations were excellent and the dessert she served us, Pastéis de Nata, was mind-blowing. She even sat us in the grand dining hall and that itself was a very royal experience.

We will definitely return here sometime in the future to stay and would highly recommend the place to everyone.

We visited this place in the month of August-2023. This is a more than 430 years old house constructed with Portuguese architecture and still standing strong. This belongs to one of the influential families of Goa. This is situated in a quiet village of South Goa called Loutolim.
The manager gave us a tour of this house which contains a museum which is open for public and there are rooms which are rented out as a homestay. He explained about the history of this house and details about the family, their roots and about the present owners. The museum and the homestay contains very precious and beautiful artifacts and olden days furniture worth seeing. There is so much to see and enjoy here that one can easily spend 1-2 hours time. There is an entry ticket of Rs.300 per head for people visiting the museum. Even though this place is less explored and not many visitors come here, one should try not to miss.

honestly surreal to see a 450 year old building preserved the way it is and the magnificent little knick knacks within. we had a great storyteller as well :)

A Historical place . The house is 400 yr old. The guide was friendly , they provide home stay. We visited the place for few hours only .

Long story short: if you have a day, do a sit down meal and the museum tour. If you have longer, stay over!

This one is older than the Taj Mahal, a gem off a place and perfect for anyone discovering Goa beyond beaches and parties. I have stayed over and done the museum tour twice each but savoured only one meal. The first time was during the lockdown times and the second with a group of 8. Both times, Pedro Figueiredo and his team were such amazing hosts. Whether it’s you stepping out and you’re offered an umbrella without you even asking for it or needing a taxi and they make sure to accommodate all plans to finish in time, they were considerate and thoughtful throughout our time there. The meal was cooked with so much love, you could feel it. We did a 4 course meal tailored to our restrictions and oh I haven’t had such delicious clams, never seen so many prawns in the curry and the alle belle was a bomb. All of the food was yum and we were served generously in the intimate setting. The rooms were clean, comfortable and certain to take you back in time. The museum tour just cannot be missed. Do take a stroll outside and soak in the beautiful views. Remember to carry your swimming gear to cool off on a summer day. Walk around the house and observe, each part has a story to say. The hosts are very passionate about what they do and always happy to answer your questions around the house and area. Being here is an experience, you will remember for a lifetime!

We took a tour of the Mansion. It is a well maintained heritage mansion. The owner explains the whole tour in a good way. They also have rooms for stay.

This is a 15th century Portuguese mansion which offers rooms and provides in house tour on chargeable basis. This house is maintained by 13th generation of Figuerado mansion. The Staff are very welcoming and the house is huge with all antiques, valuables and Portuguese style wooden decor..
Also the house is very well maintained has a pool and bar aswell.

If you are looking for tour you must maintain the time, as they are very strict with regards to siesta timing which is after 1pm-2pm.

This is a Hidden gem in South Goa and one must visit this place.

We visited the museum for a tour and really enjoyed our visit. Our guide, Constancio, who himself had a great history with the mansion and the family, was very friendly, helpful and courteous. We really enjoyed learning about the family, their history and the architecture. The family's collection and story really caught our interest and became one of the top highlights of our week long trip to Goa. The place is easy to find and located opposite a peaceful stretch of farm like land. Recommend everyone to add this to their must-visit items when visiting Goa.

There is a ticket of 300 INR /person for museum tour. It's absolutely worth the spend as one takes a tour of the Portuguese past and the glory the mansion has seen in yesteryears.
There is a homestay also in the mansion and rooms were very well designed and maintained. There is ample of space for 4 wheeler parking.

Overall, an amazing time spent and a wonderful experience.

It is a beautiful vintage property with pool and museum. They provide in-house meals as well which is very delicious. Our stay in this property was very peaceful. We will definitely visit this property again on our next trip to Goa

We loved it, full of history and lovely antiques. I loved all the window seats.

This stunning estate home (and 9-room Airbnb) is known as Figueiredo Mansion, or Figueiredo House. It was built by the Jesuits in the 1500s, and it's out in the middle of nowhere (in the best way possible), surrounded by lush jungle and natural beauty. The home has been in the Figueiredo family for 13 generations, and part of the estate is still occupied by Maria de Fatima Figueiredo de Albuquerque, who hosts guests after an extraordinary life abroad (I won't spoil the surprise by sharing the stories here). The museum tour alone is worth a visit, but even more so if you call to plan lunch in advance. While we did not stay overnight, after touring the property, including the unoccupied rooms, we will absolutely return to stay overnight in the future, as this special place is truly a rare treasure. Highest possible recommendation!
