This temple is located at the Fatorda stadium back road. It holds very significant value and observes alot of devotees .A lot of fairs happen here and people visit them with utmost devotion and joy.

Must visit place "Shree Damodar temple".
Just next to the Fatorda Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium most people come this place to pray every Monday.
On every Monday there is pooja.
There is parking problem as this place is next to the main road.

The temple is situated beside a very busy highway but yet you feel peace of mind when you are inside. Specially, on days other than Monday, it is too calm.

A super shive temple....the staff are inhuman for they made me pray from out side... standing on the concrete payment which is boiling hot temperature. They had allowed only 8 people inside for darshan. Rest of us have to stand in the brain boiling sun.
Am from south where the temples are huge & well sheltered ...the staff pamper you. Well in this Goan temple near the margoan stadium I felt like an outcast.

A very beautiful combination of both spirituality and religiosity can be seen here. There is a feeling of peace.

This Damodar temple close to Nehru stadium at Fatorda is the original place of the deity . During the period of enquisition portuguese destroyed many temples in salcete, This temple is one among them. At that time Damodar idol was shifted to Zambaulim where you can see the present temple. Though this temple of Damodar at Fatorda was destroyed the Linga remaind there. The same you can see here. Some years back a private company purchased is land . They then constructed the present temple at the same place where old temple was existing , In front of temple other side of road was the lake which was also cleaned and repaired. This god is the Aradhya Devata of Madgaon people. Every Monday many people come over here for darshan,, Many utsavas are held here during the year.

Serene place. One of the most famous temple in Madgao. Crowded on Mondays. Abhishek can be done on every Monday morning. Parking place is not available.

One stop for all Salcete residents, beyond cast and religion... Dev Shri Damodar is one place which is always full of devotees and worshipers. Shri Damodar is said to be the protector of entire Salcete. He is there for everyone who has surrendered to his power and glory. Monday is the best day to visit the temple.

Surreal place..... getting affected due to near by shawarma centre .... politicians playing minority apeasement (muslims) and allowing that place to operate near such an important cultural place to madgaokars.
