Chandrabani Temple

One of the important religious and but little known place in Dehradun.
Situated in the outskirts of Dehradun near to the Wild life Institute is a small Chandrabani temple.
This is the place where Agastya Rishi used to dwell and in the very same place he cursed his wife Ahilya.
Temple is small but situated in calm and serene env and offers lots of positive vibes

- This is the Home place of Anjana Mata (Daughter of Gautam Rishi and Mother of Lord Hanuman, Many of us dont know this fact).
- This is the same place where Lord Indra did Chal-Kapat over Gautam Rishi's Wife Ahilya), also gave Curse to Lord Chandra(Moon), Lord Indra and Hen Species as well that you will be eaten as food by Humans during Kalyuga.

- This is the same place where Chandreshwar Mahadev accepted Lord Chandra (Moon) over his Head (Just opposite there is Chandrasvar Mahadev).

This temple is dedicated to Goddess Chandrabani. It is also known as Gautam Kund. It is believed that the place was the abode of Maharishi Gautama. Temple area having the popular Gautam Kund where you can take a holy dip in the pond and that a holy dip in this kund is believed to refresh the body and soul. 7 KMs from Railway station and 2 KM from ISBT bus stand. Every year Fair is also organized here with many rides.

This Chandrabani temple is very nice, good location,near to ISBT Dehradun and priest of the temple Hemraj maharaj is very kind hearted person every Sunday he organises feast for the poor and needy. This temple is located in green jungle it also has river Ganga fountain kunda,which is called Gautam kunda made by maharaj priest Gautam.

Many people went to this temple... One of the best temple....

The place is also called Gautam Kund.
Situated around 3 km from ISBT.
There are several temples situated inside there. Also there are two Kunds(Pond like structure).
One kund is filled with water of Shri Ganga ji itself and another is for bathing in there situated beside.

There is place for sitting near the kund.

The place offers peaceful and calm environment visiting there has a good experience.😊

This place is supposed to be TapSthali of Gautam Rishi in Satyug. Natural kund of Ganga is said to be there. With an Vintage Shivling Chandreshwar Mahadev.
