Shree Shree Renukarcharya Swamy, Government of Telangana Archaeological-Museum, Kolanupaka

A divine shrine from thousands of years ago. Heart wrenching to see it in decaying state. Really hope Telangana government pledges for it's improvisation and restoration.

A historical place to visit, it's an old Shiva temple. I'm unsure why Google Maps didn't show me this location when I was there, so I reached here with the help of villagers.

Archaeological survey of India museum inside ancient Shiva temple premises, close to one kilometre from the famous Jain temple of Kolanpaka/Kulpakji, previously Darshan was not allowed inside Shiva temple, now it is allowed, Happy to see Puja being done in this ancient Shiva temple, some stone work also going on, hope they make it better for believers

One of the oldest temples close to Hyderabad. Must visit

The museum has an excellent collection of historic Hindu and Jain artworks, panels ruins, broken inscription stones, and mutilated statues. These date from about the 8th century to 13th century. One of the finest Kakatiya era Saraswati statue in all of Telangana can be found here. Admire the details – the shilpin carved even her manicured finger nails perfectly.

The museum is a long mandapa (corridor) between the parking lot and the temple. The panels are displayed along the entire length of both sides as well as the center aisle. Some dates and labels in this village museum are obviously incorrect (with Jain Tirthankaras marked as Hindu statues, vice versa; similarly dating of some items is off by a few centuries to over 1000 years – clearly a statue from 22nd century has not time travelled to this place, it should be labelled 12th century).

Simply go there to be overwhelmed by the stunning architecture situated in the lovely village of KolanupAka. The temple, which is decorated with exquisite carvings and sculptures, is connected to Shaivism, Vaishnavism, Buddhism, and Jainism.

Such a great pilgrimage and I have been visited first time but goddess idols are 13th century related felling blessed.

This is about 10 km ahead of Yadagirigutta temple. The place is so much underrated. You need a visit there. 4000 years old shiv temple. Deserted for the time being. We should promote it as much possible so that this places also becomes known.
Pls structure and kept very neat.
There is a archeological museum which has lot of sculptures of that Era which was found in the area.
When you enter and roam around you feel like a movie where there is a temple in the midst of jungle and a walk through.
This place can be converted to a highly popular tourist spot.
A must visit.

I request our Government to develop this place. So many people visit this place from Karnataka & Maharashtra.

One of the oldest Shiva 🔱temple. The had a very pleasing atmosphere.The cleanliness was adorable.The management of the temple is great. Best place for Photography . The architecture of the temple is beautiful. A must visit place.

The place was too old, for lord shiva devotees and for history lovers it is to be marked as one of the must visit places. Anyways the place was worth visiting.

This is centuries old temple and beautiful sculpture around the temple. A must visit place in Telangana.
It has tons of historical monuments situated in temple. Just 65 km from Hyderabad(Warangal Highway). One can reach here via Train from Secunderabad to Aler town, from Aler it's 5km you can get sharing auto rikshas from here.

The museum is not that well maintained but definitely worth seeing all the artifacts arranged in open temple. There are both Hindu and jain statues of God. Also there are many temples ..old and new nearby. Worth to see our ancient history
