The church also known as ambhikapuram church is having a rich legacy with the origins of kochi shipyard. The varavukattu kurishupalli is the precursor chappal of this present church which was moved along with the family graves of those parish members who once resided at the present place where the kochi shipyard now stands. The present ambhikapuram church is built in the space provided when the old kurishupalli church was moved. This church is coming under Roman Catholic-Latin Catholic Archidioese of Verapoly and a sub church under St. George Church at Pallimukku.

Was shifted from Cochin Shipyard premises for the national and job orienting for the youth interests. The church and cemetery were near about 300 years old.
