Sree Annapoorna - M.T.P Road

For me, the Annapoorna brand was the first 'hotel' we ate at during our childhood. It is a no fuss place. Their meter dosa still exists. All of 3' long and it is paper thin, glistens with ghee and is simply delicious.
During lunch, you get banana leaf service. You sit, they serve, you eat, pay and leave. As simple as that. You get generous seconds, should you need them. The curd here is thick and served straight from the mud pot it was fermented in.

Sree Annapoorna Restaurant is a great place to go for authentic and delicious South Indian cuisine.
The food is always fresh and well-prepared, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great South Indian meal.

The only thing I didn't like is the parking problem.

Crispy Ghee masala dosa was yummy. The tea was also very tasty.

Authentic South Indian cuisine. A good recommendation for breakfast. Service is good. Tough to get a table post 8am. Got to wait for sometime. Coffee needs a lot of improvement, a little dissapointed with the coffee. Rest was good.

If you have recently settled or just visiting Coimbatore for a casual or business trip and looking for authentic south indian food, this is the best and the oldest one with a golden goodwill. Excellent food and service. The size, presentation and taste all are excellent

Goto go place whenever we cross this place. Friendly staffs, parking friendly, exhaustive authentic vegetarian menu, sweets, cookies, desserts - covered all age group people, in a good way.
Must try Sambar Vadai, Ghee Roast, Poori Masal, Paneer Fried Rice, Pongal. Whatever the item ordered, finishing touch should be with a Filter Coffee.
Highly recommended place for vegetarians, kids and Morning walkers.

Sri Annapoorna Sri Gowrishankar is an amazing restaurant! Coming from a Tier-1 city, the quality of the food in comparison to the low prices is astounding! The food is homely and delicious; every chutney that was provided with the dosa was stellar! I especially recommend the rasmalai - the rich flavors burst in your mouth the moment you bite each of the mini-balls! Service is extremely fast (the servers practically stand by your table at all times) and the A/C dining hall is very comfortable. Will definitely come back the next time I’m in Coimbatore…

The best vegetarian chain of restaurants in Tamil Nadu. Their Sambar Idli and filter coffee are out of this world. A visit to Coimbatore without having food in Annapoorna is not complete

Halted here for evening snack on the way to Kerala, I had the yummiest paper dosa here. It was very delicious and served with sambhar and 2 other chutneys, puri masaal was also good. Must visit!

The place is hygienic and they serve good quality food. authentic vegetarian food which delighting the taste buds of everyone for more than 50 years. situated right on the Mettupalayam main road. Good sweets and pastries. It's on main road and have limited parking area for the restaurant. south indian food with authentic taste. Both AC and Non AC sections are good to have a quick coffee and snacks. They also serve a good afternoon noon meals and various options for dinner.

This restaurant chain has been consistent in their quality, taste and service over the last 5 decades. Hats off to them
