Upper Zing Zing Bar

Ideal Place for Nignt stay on Manali-Leh route. It's situated 16 miles (25 kilometers) from Darcha at an altitude of around 14,010 feet (4,270 meters). Zing Zing bar in the world, and is located at the base of Baralacha La, one of the most popular passes in Ladakh.

This place comes en-route the baralacha la pass on Leh-Manali highway at an altitude of around 14,000 ft. The region is full of scenic views of the mighty snow covered mountains and the Bhaga river (flowing below).
They have many refreshment, food (& night stay options) here in the form of cafes and dhabas.
A good roadside stop over point.

Nice, must visit place at 14,300feet. Unlike Rohtang pass, it has lot of snow with little crowd. The views all around are breathtaking.
We visited on 29.5.23 since we were advised at Darcha checkpoint to avoid Baralacha. Basic items like tea, coffee, maggi, Paratha etc are available.
We felt slight difficulty in breathing when exerting, so do not stay for more than 2-3 hours.
Strongly advise to carry heavy woolens (even in summers) and portable oxygen cans if you are planning for a night stay. Dormitory type accomodation with shared washroom and ample open parking is available for Rs. 300 per person.

Clean, calm and beautiful area, here we got the petrol from one of the local shop which is basically a tent type structure. No petrol after keylong to Barallacha

We visited this place while coming from the place Baralacha La Pass. There only Rajma chawal, Maggi and bread omlete were available while we visited the place. The Rajma chawal and Maggi tasted awesome. Infact the cardamom tea (with milk and sugar) was also awesome. Other than that the behavior of the shopkeeper lady was so polite.
Here beds are available for the travellers.
There is no wheelchair ♿ accessible entrance available.
Overall the experience was great.

One can relax enrote at upper zing zing bar to baralach la pass. Many joints are there to hault. They gakve economical packages for overnight stay as well. Good places to relax and enjoy the surrounding view

No Network coverage here..If your going to Leh prefer to stay after crossing barlacha pass can stay in sarchu .Food and accommodation ( basics facilities) available here in this place ...

A bunch of temporary camps & dhabas set up before the Baralachala pass while going from Manali to Leh. The camps are seasonal and only operational when the passes are open, i.e June to September.

The quality and availability of food at all dhabas is similar, and you can get basic essentials at a few.

Lavatory facilities are close to none.
Only make shift toilets.

A few dhabas and camps offer beds to sleep inside at night.
